the 4th line has Engvall 6'4, Goat 6'5 and Petan 4'8..

It's a good way to through off the competition.

I didn't realize that Petan was that tall

Dude, it's perfect.. No one will see Petan skating behind Engvall and Gauthier.. The defence will think 'meh, it's a normal 2-on-2 chance, we're ok...' then out of no where... Boom... Petan sneaks out from behind Engvall and scores....

Fleury didn’t even see Petan on that huge save last game.

Didn’t even react until he saw the puck move towards the net.

The puck is bigger than Petan.

I think him skating through Engvall's legs would be more sneaky.

See? The potential is limitless.. Thru his legs, from behind him, dropped out of his pocket..

He's not that tall so I'd guess I'm lukewarm towards seeing you.

Going to take a few games in order for things to settle more but seeing the minor tweaks and changes here already, I'm intrigued and looking forward to seeing what happens out there tonight.

I thought the players work ethic was better versus Vegas and expecting things to go all out here now tonight. Fresh new start, clean slate. No Babcock dislike or doghouse for any of them like Spezza, or Petan.

Also be very intresting to see in game adjustments as things go along and what Keefe does. Do like the new lines some, thinking should be interesting to see.

Not to mention that press conference was interesting there too. Going to be a good change. Glad about the move, just wish it had been in the offseason and a start out of the gate with the new system and all in place.

Tough spot for Keefe to come into. Pressure is going to be on to get the team back in the playoff picture.

I sounds like Duby wanted to turn the page on Babs after last season ended.

Now he gets his way and boy its going to be interesting to see it play out

It's not too late to save the season.

I like the changes he's made so far to the PP, the forward lines and giving Holl time with Muzzin... I think that could be a decent shut-down pair.

Didn't I see that move in the Mighty Ducks movie? Brilliant.

. . . and people think kids coaching this team is a bad idea.

Mattawa/Battawa/Ottawa is any of it real anymore?
- PatC80

What about Nottawa?

Or Wasaga and Nottawasaga?

Ontario is very confusing.

I think there will be pressure on Keefe, but he'll be given some time to get the team playing his style..

Keefe is not afraid to make in-game adjustments if need be.

I'm excited to watch tonight.. Hopefully, they don't lose 6-1 again

Right? Plus no one has watched that movie in like what 20 years? They won't see it coming..

I bet Petan even scores tonight

I just realized I have tix to Saturday's Marlies game.

My daughter is going to be devastated when she finds out she doesn't get to see Keefe coaching behind the bench.

Keefe is her favourite AHL coach.

Or at least was, I guess.

It's so bad I made a D2 reference earlier today in this thread, and nobody picked up on it.

Sad.

I think it's tough, but it was going to be tough for whoever came in, so you have to go with your guy if you're not writing off the year.

That said, while Colaiacovo said on Leafs Lunch that he, nor any player he knew, had ever 'quit on a coach', there's a natural human tendency to just start tuning someone out when you're frustrated with them. Once you've reached that part of the relationship, it's pretty much done. You're not listening even if you think you are, and you've started down the path of disdain which does affect everything - especially once things start to go badly. That's predominant human nature - alpha male athlete or otherwise (I'm not discounting that there are those who will react in the opposite manner - we're wired differently - but once you tune someone out, you're no longer in "I'll show you" mode).

You get a voice change, and maybe an attitude change, and that little bit could hopefully be what they need.

It sure as poop didn't work when Horachuk took over, but these guys are actually decent and should be significantly better than they are.
