Why in my day, we would just sign any contract that the NHL teams would put in front of us - it didn't matter if we had to work summer jobs.

I can't see how everyone isn't very excited again to watch the Leafs. Not saying they're definitely going to be great, but man at least we're going to really see if some of these players are who we hope they are, or if they fit in the way we need them.

I still believe there's going to be a few more trades next summer, and neither Muz or Barrie gets resigned, but damn it at least we don't have the unknown spectre of a coach trying to jam a square peg in a round hole anymore.
