Agreed. After every goal scored, he'd put out our 4th line.. Which was frustrating - PatC80
Have to calm things down, don't want a highly talented offensive team to get excited and try and play offensively.

I'm glad Babcock is gone. Now the players don't have any excuses, and neither does Dubas.
Keefe is his guy, has been all along. We should be collectively happy about this move because it means that we are that much closer to proving whether or not this roster can win.
Now there are no barriers to that; Dubas watch is on, let's see what they can do, what he can do over this season and next and let the cards fall where they may.

So with Bab gone, no further excuse for Dubas. He even has his guy as the coach.
I have my doubt but I will give this team a chance under the new coach. If there is no visible sign of progress by Feb, then you know who was at fault ultimately. |

sure I bought into the Babcock hype when they hired him. At the time, he was considered to be the best available, and outside of my leaf bubble I didnt really know much about him other than the success he had at NHL and at gold...<- but again with that roster you chances are certainly in your favour.
Then we start hearing things about him and how he treats players and didnt think much about it.
Then this year it really stood out. Sorry, but that was an a55hat move to not let Spezza play, just like he did with Modanno on the very last game of the season. Why would anyone want to play for someone like that? Im all for a tough coach, but be fair at least. You'll get some respect. The players have changed as well we are dealing with newer generations in a different time. Not to mention the Dubas factor...which he is gonna die by his sword with the roster. Babs style was getting to be outdated and it seemed obvious he and Dubas were NOT on the same page.
But also the constant questionable decisions. Miss managed ice times of your best guy, playing the backup at not the best days in a back to back with no consideration or thought seemed to have been put into it or the schedule.
He got 5 out of the 8 years he signed up for and still gets paid. He'll be fine, but i think it was time. |

Sweet. Now we'll see what the real issues are. Hope Sheldon does well though. |

Barrie on pace for 0 goals and 25 assists.
I expect that will change in a hurry... |

Babs was forcing guys to watch the hunting channel. There’s only so much a millennial can take. |

Will be interesting to see if Leafs will get a few more power plays now that Babcock is gone, perhaps the leagues refs felt the same way about babs as Mike commodore. He had to go, time to play the top 2 lines much more, I almost threw remote through tv when line 4 went out after Spezza goal. |

The word has been that Keefe and Dubas are on the same page about everything. If so, then I'm curious to see what changes he makes in the lineup and how he uses players.
We'll get to see what Babcock was doing that Dubas didn't like. |

I mean, in that case the line that was already out there had constant pressure for well over a minute. - GreatGigInTheSky

It's probably the same as the Christmas pizza they're advertising here.
Would rather eat rocky mountain oysters on pizza than that monstrosity |
