Does anyone know if the Canucks have the option to give up the pick this year if they wanted to? Like say they miss the playoffs, but end up drafting like 14th or 15th, could they wait and see how the picks are going and then decide to give it up immediately if there isn't a player they really like at that point?

according to the wording if Canucks miss the playoffs they keep their 2019 pick and TB gets the 2020 pick.

I imagine Canucks would have to trade the 2019 for the 2020 pick with TB

With TO pulling the trigger on Babcock this early in the season it put other coaches on watch whether they like it or not. I'd say Green and Bill Peters have the next 20 games to get their houses in order.

I've said before I think they will give Green until next season but then sh!t like the Babcock thing happens it has other impacts across the league.
