I was hoping when they signed Schaller he would have brought some toughness but it hasn't been there. I do believe the Captain and Jake need to step up in that department.

Same here. However he did come with a reputation for being streaky. When Canucks were winning he was their best player. Now that he's not accomplishing much the team is losing.

Splitting the top line up to take attention off Pettersson has been very counterproductive though.
