I wouldn't say embarrassment but def disappointing. I stand by my initial analysis. You are free to your own opinions. I am much more discouraged with Jake and Ghost because they provide next to nothing when their offense dries up

Hayes has to average .70 points per game the rest of the season to get to 50 points.

FO% literally means nothing for offense or defense. Faceoffs are a skill that has no bearing on how well you play in any zone

4 other flyers were on the ice at that time and will get a minus. If a player passes the puck to an opposing player who scores on a breakaway, all five players get minuses even if they had no impact on the play. Goalie let's in a softie goal? Minuses for everyone!

The same problem exists with any Corsi based stat.

AV put JVR, Hayes and Jake on the same line and it hasn't really helped much. JVR was a lazy player when the Flyers drafted him years ago and not much has changed. Jake has a lot of skill, but he keeps trying to force impossible passes, instead of making a pass that might actually reach a teammate. Hayes hasn't scored a goal in a while, but he does play big minutes on the PK. I think Hayes will get on a scoring streak again, but JVR or Jake won't be of much help to him. Let's see what changes, if any, that AV has set up for Thursday?

I think in conjunction with other metrics, corsi helps to paint a statistical profile of an individual player. +/- does not, even when used with other metrics. If you disagree, so be it

This is why I love our fans. We trash JVR and Jake, complain about how Bad their contracts are + how low production is. Yet we throw them into trade proposals for better players. If our fans think they’re so bad, why do they also think other teams are lining up to trade for them 🤔

There is no cat and mouse here. There's just you being wrong. Neither Corsi or +/- is a good stat to gauge player ability. I don't think you understand Corsi well or any derivative of it well. As I stated, Corsi has the same problem that +/- has. Let me know when you want to discuss it in good faith. Then maybe you'll be informed on where I stand.
