The thing I know for sure is you can't win games in this league scoring two goals a game.

I know two hundred foot, defense first always but when the goalie has an off night, like Hart did, we see what the results are.

That being said I am really excited about the young core on this team.

This act of non existent showings from your top players, multiple times over multiple seasons mind you, has worn thin.

You're right that it doesn't bode well. But there are a number of teams only 1 and 2 games away. And some of them played more games. Also, I think the first tie breaker is RW. Not that they're looking too much better in that category.

While this is all speculation, when you have a baby it is foolish to assume all is well whether its the baby's health or even the mother's mental health after giving birth. Yes, Giroux is a pro and paid top dollar, but he is only human.

People really need to stop acting like Carolina is some unbeatable team. We've beaten them this year already and they were hott last year, I'm not that impressed.

Except it's....not at all. When you get fired, you have no employment and are not getting paid. Unless Voracek gets bought out, he's still getting paid whether you scratch/demote him or not.

Thats not the argument though. I realize he isnt getting fired but he works as a hockey player. That is his job. His job is to preform a certain level. He is not. He was demoted and there was no change. So the next step is to demote him further and scratch him. What everyone else is proposing is "Oh well we tried. Guess he just has to figure it out himself"

As good as he is this is still the NHL, guys will go through trying times. Scratching Voracek would further alienate him and probably ruin his relationship with AV which is probably not great as it is.

I honestly have no idea, sounds about right though. Seems like playing them in general. Not just in Carolina.

Edit: Last year the flyers lost every game they played against them in regulation. Maybe that's why I feel that way.
