Holy shat how good has Beau been. He reminds me of Tonelli which his hustle and tenacity. Nelson has kicked ass on face offs, not that they matter
That whole line with Brassard has been great.

Barzal with a rough game and the boys still win. This team is for real and playing for one another

You'd think on a streak like this they would pull away from the pack

Yeah I agree Upstate but the Caps are good and we have games in hand so need to win those.

They were good on offensive but had trouble with the pens forecheck, they had a lot of turnovers in the d and neutral zones. Let's hope that's not their weakness and it gets exploited

First period I agree. I thought they were playing Isles Hockey in the 2nd and 3rd.

Give Pens credit, they are playing with injuries and brought it tonight, and Rust was all over the ice

This was exactly my thinking ( in regards to Barzals bad game ). I hope he sees that he can just play the game, and don't be flashy when not needed, and the team will be ok

Nelson’s tap helped New York become the first team ever to win consecutive games in which they trailed by multiple goals with less than seven minutes left in regulation.

Only watched a few Isles games this year but Brassards with 15 points in 19 games. Maybe best signing of the off season. Has he really been looking that good? guy must just love New York.

On the wing, he's flourishing!! The first 3-4 games, playing centre, I think we were all disappointed

Ice was terrible and he lost the handke at the blueline before turning it over at the red. Happens to everyone at times and hardly ever to barzal, hes fine

That sounds like making room for Koivula to head back to BPT

Could they be making room at Bridgeport for either Martin or Moonspackle to go down for "conditioning" with Ladd?

I don't think they're sending Martin down. Maybe Duneboggle but my guess is that Martin is in on Thursday and Koivula is heading to BPT. Outside chance that it's Johnston going down and Koivula is your new 4C.

Curious about the defenseman sent to the ECHL though. I wonder if Hickey is healthy enough to get back into games now and that's why they later'd Mike Cornell.

Just to be clear, I believe that Ladd has maxed out his conditioning stint. He is now officially a minor league hockey player.

I love reading the comment section one page at a time knowing what happened. It's like watching the game again... lol.

I loved Beau before... and he is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on this team. 100% every single shift... and he can fly. Having Him, Ebs, Barzal, Casey, and a few others just constantly Flying around the ice every shift is friggin awesome.

Just.... Keep ... winning!!

Trotz said yesterday that Martin would be back for next game more than likely.

He played ok.. but did not look great. Got his taste.. now go get your shine box and earn your way back.

MDC has to be on a short leash at this point. If they are ok sending Ladd down they have to start thinking about sending him too. He has not been noticeable in a good way for a while. took a terrible penalty last night. gave the puck away a few times during a solid shift in the O-zone..etc.

Barzal had a bad game for sure and I love that Trotz had ZERO issues benching him for it. terrible give away on PP that ending up in our net (thankfully off sides). Really lazy tripping penalty. ... etc.

One last "Debbie Downer" thought...

3rd game in a row Varly let up 4 goals. At least 2 of those are just fundamentals.. keep 5 hole sealed, get to the other post, etc. I hope Korn and crew can get him where he needs to be quickly.

MDC doesn't belong anywhere near the PP and Josh Bailey should not be on the PK.

Brock won 70% of his face offs last night.. none bigger than the 3 in a row in the final 3 minutes.
