I don't get all the hate Tanner receives over articles like this.

Do people really think Islanders will finish the season with a .94 save percentage?

It also seems like everyone commenting believes the current standings reflect exactly how good each and every team is. That seems ludicrous to hold that belief, regardless of your team.

To think all that matters is the outcome is pretty crazy in my opinion. Why is there a general disdain for wanting to dig into the numbers and attempt analysis? Why is no analysis better than analysis you disagree with?

Hes been saying the Isles wont last for 110 games now, were just reminding him the seasons only 82 games.

Hey James long time reader 2nd time poster,

As someone with a vast knowledge regarding the Coyotes roster, I come to you asking your current opinion on whether or not Jacob Chychurn should be kept on my fantasy roster. It's a points league and I've noticed he's gotten 1st PP time.

I should also mention, Goligoski is available as free agent (so I have considered substitution for him).

What are your thoughts on the matter at hand?

I picked up Chychurn on one of my fantasy teams. I am holding him for a while. I think he can stick in that PP role and provide some decent numbers. Coyotes play a sound defensive system, so his +/- should be good if that's a category....and PP points are always good.

I see NYI got lucky again tonight. They punished Pittsburgh with 60+ hits. They were better on faceoffs. They had fewer giveaways. They held Malkin in check at 5-on-5. And they outscored them which is pretty important.

I didn't check who won the Corsi contest though. Tanner can you confirm this for us?

Ho hum. Leafs lose again. 26th in the NHL now. NYI wins again. 15-game point streak. Could just be luck. Dubas. Lou. Tanner. Trotz. Meltzer.

I would play lotto numbers for each of the Leafs THREE #1 d-men. Most teams are lucky to have 1, but Dubas has assembled the greatest roster in the cap era with THREE #1 d-men. Its amazing. I would add Nylander's number since he should win the NHL scoring title this year. Maybe ask Lou and Holland if they have a favourite number since both guys are dinosaurs who don't belong in the NHL any longer.

Stupid Leafs. Don’t they know that coaches have little to no effect on a teams success.

They should've just given Babcock a 4 leaf clover, a rabbits foot and a horseshoe.
