As for this season, i actually think the team could be better.....but i agree with roger...the coach stubborness is getting in the way. As i mentioned....i dont think babs knows how to use what he has. (frank) he was forced to use holl this season, a guy he banished to the press box for 75 games last year and hes been arguably one of the leafs best d. That looks bad on babs to me. Makes me wonder whqt else hes missing. And theres no way barrie is being used right either. (frank), even jason spezza this year has been fine when he plays. And yet hes been in the press box half our games.

Yep no Toews, half a season under Pulock belt. As far as studs go Pulock as well as Pelech are and Toews is on his way. Leddy would be your best defenseman so what does that say about the Leafs defense?

Leafs can be better but I believe ultimately you have a bunch of individuals in that room. I’m quite familiar with one of those individuals and he fits right in. Also, the defense just isn’t there and no matter how much leaf fans try to dismiss it the team has zero grit. No sandpaper to speak of. You can see that on the ice...

We didn’t lose anyone Lameriello decided not to resign him. “Do some research”. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe they were confident in the teams system and that at least partially made Lehners job easier? As well as Greiss’s capability?

Reilly is a good defenseman but the depth is lacking. Muezzin is a shell of what he was and the rest wouldn’t crack our line up. Period. So yeah that’s a problem. Could a coaching change help? Yeah sure but you still have pretty significant holes in your line up.

I don’t disagree with you there. I wanted him to stay who really knows what happened? Lameriello reportedly wanted Varlamov the draft before and didn’t get him. He has a close relationship with Sorokin and there was speculation that was a factor in signing him. So far so good and I guess we’ll see on the sorokin part.
