I like Alain Vigneualt. I like him a lot but do you think he’s gonna call himself out on these shootout losses? Line up not consistent. Voracek hasn’t deserved a shot in the shootout in sometime. Konecny and Farabee have at least scored a couple of beauties between the two of them within the last couple weeks but they’re nowhere to be found in this one. |

Hart deserves better - bulet13
He needed to come up with a save. Give up the first two and it’s pretty unlikely you’re going win the SO |

Yeah. No issue from what I saw. Hung with them and had all kinds of chances to win this. - Hextall271
True, but they need to start scoring more than one or two goals a game. |

I’ll say again. I don’t think you guys realize how bad I want to see a Cup won in Philadelphia. With this, you have to be willing to objectively criticize the team. I’m proud of where this team is now. We went from renting players to owning them. We never owned Roenick, Forsberg, Briere or Pronger. They were older. Always on borrowed time. We thought we could build around mid first round players like Richards and Carter. They weren’t committed and it didn’t work. Now we have a team, young and we control them for most of their careers. I believe in this. Most of you have to be realistic of what these guys are now, rather than later after the organization already made up their minds about them.
I’m much more proud of this team tonight making a huge push back against a top team, rather than just simple beating a team that clearly didn’t play their best game. Won more. Expect more. I think both sides have a great effort tonight and we hung with Washington.
You learn more from a loss than a win. It could have gone either way in this one. |

On the measuring stick game, Flyers came up just short. Good news is they’re still growing.

I feel like Im just asking for trouble by replying but why would he call him self out on the shootout losses given that they have done a much better job in them this season.
I believe Farabee might have gotten hurt earlier. |

Jake has just been atrocious and giroux not much better. Don’t really care that they hooked up tonight I think that was both of theirs only chance and they hit on it.
Coots was a beast. Lindblom and tk doing their thing. Need more from Hayes especially on the wall. |

Thought both G and Jake played okay tonight.
Coots had some pressure, more in OT, and had at least one bad turnover in the first.

Yeah..Earlier in the game he got hit in the wrist with the puck..
Not dissimilar to the Laughton play.
Not sure if that played a part in it or AV just sat him. |

I don’t know about fantastic, but I agree they were definitely much improved. Hart was bailing them out a lot. |

I want to say the Flyers outshot the Caps in both the second and third. |

Would have been nice if Boosh had kept us informed. You know Pierre would have been all over that poop. 😉

If you think you’re gonna put yourself into a frustrating debate, why would you put yourself in this situation?

Towards the end of the third there was a lot of sloppy defensive play I thought. They dominated the OT though besides that breakaway. |

They're playing pretty well.
It's just too bad they can't acquire any fire power. |

What firepower is out there for them to acquire and what would they give up to do so?

It was mentioned that the Caps had scored 3+ goals in quite a few games coming into tonight. They slowed down one of the hottest offenses along with pulling out a win in Boston. They’re starting to convince me we might have something here. |

I was thinking more towards the trade deadline.
As I understand it, there's not enough cap space to make too big of a splash. |

I think that was actually the Caps had scored 2 or more goals but either way agreed.
Loved everything I have seen over the past 5-6 games. |

You know they arent locked into a salary cap at this point and that multiple things can happen before the trade deadline?
