Pens looks completely disorganized and sloppy. Turnover after turnover and not sustaining any pressure.
- Rinosaur

Or course they look disorganized...they're missing their leader 1C and their stud 1D.

I'd rather keep looking at McCann or if they feel they have to use McCann at center, put Galchenyuk there. Figure out if one of the higher ceiling guys fit with Malkin should be the long-term priority. That Guentzel line won't be together when Sid is back.

Definitely looks like a knee injury for Sid. Got his skate kicked out as he was stopping while moving laterally. That would also explain why he was able to walk off with no problem and not much of a limp. Hopefully just cartilage/meniscus and not ligament damage. I'm no doctor but I assume that's the better outcome. When I blew out my knees, I got the whole package, so I can't speak from experience which is better/worse.

Yeah, could see this kind of a game coming from a mile away, especially with RWs always reliable jinx.

There’s no response to the physicality...this team is soff. And it’s time to fire whoever is running that PP

What Physicality? The Pens are being outworked and playing sloppy as poop.

I think the McCain, rust, Malkin line was looking solid and putting up points. Would rather keep that and adjust the other.

The NYR are hitting and separating player from puck at will. The pens don’t seem to have that skill.

Agreed on sloppiness though

The Rangers are playing aggressive hockey, but they're not being terribly physical. The Pens just look lost.

This must be the first game you're watching this year. And yes they can fire Recchi.

Is it too early to break up that "top" line. Maybe get Guentzel back on his actual side.

Jake-Geno-Rust
Galch-McCann-Tanev
Kahun-Bjug-Simon
ZAR-Blue-Lafferty

This is what I'd roll right now.

That's pretty big holes in the line up and shifting of lines and pairs...can lead to disorganized....disorganized can lead to slop.

Thought they started waking up a bit around halfway mark...goal against with 9 seconds left obviously blows but let's see if they can keep the comebacks coming....

Losing Sid and Letang may hurt your ability to generate offense, but it doesn't mean you can't play a simple organized safer game or lack effort.
