Thanks carol! Sad to hear about markstroms father. Sure his mates are in his corner. I fully expect the team to dominate the preds on Tuesday. - CanuckDon

Bullpoop, the poppy system sucks. I didn't buy one this year for this first time maybe ever. I still found a way to contribute to the legion, and I made my young children watch war movies today because it was a holiday and I wanted them to understand why. The young one got it, war is scary and I don't ever want to do that. The older one understood the scale of death and misery.
I'm sick of buying a bunch of poppies every year and still not having one because the (frank)ing things fall off all of the time. There is a better way of doing things, we just have to move forward. - golfingsince

always something to argue about - VanHockeyGuy
It was only a couple of years ago that Lias Andersson appeared to be a key cog of the future down the middle for the Rangers when they made him the seventh-overall pick in 2017.
Accordingly, Larry Brooks of the New York Post opines that the team may need to consider trading the 21-year-old over running the risk of having his value drop even further.
Can't argue that Jim the (frank)en GENUIS Benning made the correct pick in Petey over Andersson |

It's bloody hard when you cross the ocean to play. Canada and the States usually suck
when they play over there. Same thing when they come here. - VANTEL

I don’t remember Anderson even being seriously discussed as a Canuck pick by fans and media. Pretty sure he was even considered to be a bit of a reach for the Rags who were hoping EP would be there instead
I remember there being a lot of talk about Glass, Pettersson and Vilardi |

I think we got two great picks this year. Very happy with the first and second. |

I don't care what the fans or media were talking about. I'm glad Jim Benning picked Pettersson over Andersson. |

That's why I think it was easier for Jim Benning to give up a first in another year because he considered it like getting two this year.
If they all work out and do well, you can't pay them all anyways. |

Both good prospects. I'd be satisfied if both became solid middle 6 players. |

So far Maxime Comtois is the highest scoring 2nd rounder from that draft with 12 points.
In my defence I had Comtois as a late first round pick. One spot ahead of Lind. |

You pick guys like Puljujarvi or DalColle and think you are drafting top line players and then guys like Kapanen and Bo end up there. |

For sure, it's hard to predict. Goes both ways though. There's been guys who were considered "safe picks" that have also ended up as busts or fringe NHL'ers.
