I hear you, and like I said before, I think it's ridiculous that he was fired.

I'm just saying that some Canadian citizens probably aren't buying poppies, too. And I'd be willing to bet that some immigrants feel MORE thankful for Canada than some of their citizen counterparts.

And the same goes for America, as well.

Cherry is 85. Thinks like he's 85 which does not fit the politically correct mode of today. My (15 yr old) son has a classmate that refuses to wear a poppy, because it "glorifies war". He asked where she learned that and she said her favorite teacher taught her that and her parents support her "independent thoughts". The (frank) is wrong with the world? Cherry was/is a blowhard but if nothing he loves this country and in particular its vets.
