Jake is really fighting it, counted at least 3 times last night where he made a play where he didn’t lift his head.
He has went from holding the puck to long to making blind plays. In a weird way I prefer him to struggle this way, once he gets his confidence back I think he will be just fine. He has been better on the D side. Maybe AV is going to keep jake and Hayes together and have them become a shut down line with hopes when Jake figures it out the O will come. |

Agree... and I absolutely loved that chip shot SO goal. I want to believe he put it exactly where he wanted it - DaveofYork
Bruins announcer (Brickly, not Edwards) described it as lobbing a beanbag over the goalie. Loved it.

Don’t think the Pens have Staggy calling games anymore. Bob Errey still does his homerish color analysis though. |

Good...a step in the right direction. So far, I've been able to get the other team's feed when watching Pitt games. Can't stand the Crosby-slobbering |

Jim Jackson is just as bad as Edwards. Whenever you have patented homerisms you’re a buffoon. “They say it’s onsides!” |

Jim says that for both teams if he questions an onside or offside, although maybe a little more emphatically if it goes against the Flyers. And he's far from a buffoon.

Only guy more annoying in that organization is Jack Edwards. Center Ice only had Bos. feed and I was forced to listen to that whiner until I found a N WASH sportspak channel that had the Flyers feed.
Jack is the absolute worst to listen to ( runnerup honors go to Staggy) - DaveofYork
I wanted to win that game solely to not listen to that dipstick celebrate, he complained about the no goal right up until the shootout, was claiming Philly getting phantom icing calls, he always has paid respect to guys like G on the feed by the homer-ism is just too much. Hate to say it but I think the Rangers guys are very fair commentators. |

I was too young for Gene Hart but I’ve watched enough of the old games to actually miss the guy. He was fantastic.
Him and Harry k. Sorely missed. I don’t know what the eagles are going to do Merrill Reese is a nightmare right now. Just about unlistenable those 2. I guess most don’t care |

he doesn't stop. He was also baffled they didn't make a call on the ice. I wish refs would do that more often so the review would not have to overturn a call, they could just get the call right. |

He’s a bit of a homer and little corney, but his voice is really excellent and his play by play is very good. Comcast needs to hook him up with a stylist. His hair and clothing are stuck in the 80s. |

With the Flyers actually winning some shoot outs, maybe the league will now start to consider getting rid of skills competition to decide games..

1. Looked like Hart was interfered with when the player went through the crease and kind of pulled him off the post. 2. Not sure how long the ref needs to go without seeing the puck before he blows the whistle but is seemed like an eternity. 3. Isn't pushing the goalies leg into the net interference? You are obviously hindering his ability to make the save.
I don't want to live in a world where that would have been a legal goal. |

We finally have a reputable coaching staff. We haven’t been able to say that since Lavy Left. - Sublime55
Absolutely.
With this said, Konecny and Lindblom seem to be carrying the load themselves.
Really can’t stand Pitlick. I think he offers nothing. |

Yea can't push the goalie into the net, regardless of the puck is there or not. |

When Laughton is back hopefully it pushes him out, i thought he had a decent weekend honestly. Andreoff has fit in well, couple times it looked like he challenged some Bs too. Clifton in particular gave Raffl a whack and Andreoff gave him one right back, Clifton wouldn't even look in his direction. |

I think Pitlick is an improvement over some of the recent year’s 4th liners
I like the how the 4th line is playing currently and AV seems to as well, he’s spreading the ice time around all 4 lines |

he pronounces both for both teams, just maybe a little more dramatic when its for and against the flyers. its show biz in the end, and he caters to his audience. he's no where near as bad as edwards though, not even close. |

You can see with each game that Pitlick is getting stronger and getting his game together. |

I agree
He’s a decent skater and is pretty good on the boards and forecheck
Maybe not the best finisher but part of a solid 4th line that the coach can use in the 3rd period in a tight game, which is good.
If they are playing from behind in the third maybe the bench gets shortened but AV seems to trust them with a one goal lead.
This team, the way they are playing now looks like a playoff team. I hope they can keep it up and not go off the rails and into a long losing streak.

'Rock em sock em robots"
I watch a ton of games on the NHL center ice package, and Jackson is about the worst pbp guy I've heard. I think 25 years or however long he's been doing this is enough. What does he have a lifetime contract? |

Makes me resent Hak and Hex all the more. - DrMidnite
LOL. Yea, lets' resent them. They did most of the painful work in developing these players. Hextall drafted Provorov, Sanheim, Lindblom, Farabee, Frost, Hart, and signed Myers as an undrafted free agent.
If the current coaching staff had the lineup that the previous coaching staff had to play with, you'd be resenting them also.
