iv had to bite my tongue and try to ignore a lot of ugly comments and words...that I dont appreciate...and its been from my older friends and family.
- senstroll

so... the children in your extended family don't get involved in that stuff I guess...

that would make your family exactly the same as everyone else's.

my parents generally criticized me more when I was still living at home, and then during University and a little later one... in fact it continues to this day.

the older members of my family generally have more opinions than the infants and kids do

I'm not angry about it all... I think its hilarious - you sum it up yourself - "millenials are smack in the middle of it"...

no you aren't ... you are watching on the web/tv/screen on your fridge...

just 'cause you are watching it, and tweeting about it - doesn't mean you have any impact on it or anything at all.

precisely the reason you would be "lost for words" if you met Babcock face to face... you'd never take shots verbally at him directly that you fire without pause here...

that's why you fundamentally can't get your head around the idea intangibles in hockey players... they don't have intangibles in virtual reality and you can't measure them and record it in a spreadsheet.

its like tactile feeling when buying clothes ...some people prefer to feel something they are considering buying.... very difficult to do thru a wifi/cellular connection.

- BorjeFan4Ever

I have to ask...what do you think the age group is for Millennial? Seriously, too many people are clueless in that aspect.

And what? Why was Don Cherry fired? Outrage from some on here, from some in Toronto, from some in Winnipeg. Everywhere.

Everyone has a voice these days, something you aren't grasping.

And lets use this Don Cherry firing as an example.

I took a glance at twitter....many, many old men in outrage saying "he got fired for respecting veterans"

That is "change" that some older fellows can't seem to grasp. Diversity.

I'm guessing it will be Brian Burke
- PatC80

Burke maybe a blow hard... but he's way to smart to jump into that swamp so quickly.

It’s so funny to see “young” guys here feel that they see the light and old people should just go away.

You know what’s funny?

They (Young People] have exalted notions, because they have not been humbled by life or learned its necessary limitations; moreover, their hopeful disposition makes them think themselves equal to great things -- and that means having exalted notions.

Do you know who said that? Yup. Aristotle.

5000 years old Egyptian murals complain young people nowadays are rude and delusional feeling they are wiser than the previous generation.

This crap has been going on for more than 5000 years. When the millennials age, they will complain about the younger generation.

Ah to be young again.

I think we need to stop generalizing here by saying "young people are like this and old people act like that".

There are idiots of all ages, races, genders, species (I didn't forget you gull) and nostril sizes.

as for the age range for Millenials... I take all of information from the internet - 'cause its always right.... and since you guys are always connect to it and managing its content, like DonCherry's commentary to ensure it stays on track.. I know its good.

recognize what has just happened for what it is.. .and olde man who stayed too long in a job he should have quit probably 5-10 years ago got canned for saying something inappropriate.

Sportsnet is making a business decision - nothing more or less.

If you are trying to equate "getting Don Cherry fired with social change" on a matter that actually matters... I'm thinking you need a whole lot broader view of the world.

when you bought your last smart phone - assuming your parents didn't pay for it - did you buy the one that ethically produced by well paid manufacturing workers in Poland, or did you buy the one from the Chinese or Vietnamese sweatshops staffed by kids?

In fact intelligence has very little to do with age. I think you'll find that most people who are smart as hell when they're 16 also happen to be smart as hell when they're 60.

Exactly right. Experience teaches life lessons but you’re stuck with the IQ you were born with.
