Babs has given more ice time to Matthews. Auston's getting more than 21 minutes a game in the past 5 games.. Which is really nice to see.

Whenever a goalie lets in multiple weakass goals, it deflates the team. Leafs weren't good in the 1st and Hutch playing like trash, again, didn't help at all.

The players have no faith in Hutch whatsoever. And he's done absolutely nothing to earn said faith.

The best thing the Leafs could do is get rid of Hutch as soon as they possibly can.

I know it's somewhat sarcastic . . . just based on observation in the past few games, I think Moore is an extremely talented 4th line player who can move up to the 3rd line. He has looked overmatched in all of his top line matchups and probably shouldn't be there.

Assuming that Hyman is back for our next game . . .would Mikheyev with Hyman and Tavares be "too much muck"? Kapanen doesn't seem to mesh well with Tavares, but perhaps with Hyman creating some forecheck it would help.

They came out flat, but they can't rely on Hutch.. To their credit, they finished strong and Matthews had a heck of a game. They have to do something soon.. They have more back to backs coming up..

They're not playing good hockey and haven't really since the beginning of the season.

They started fantastic but then started to rely heavily on their goaltending and power play. Now it's not working anymore.

With Marner out at least 4 weeks, Babs may try some different things.. Assuming Hyman is back this week, but I think Babs is stubborn af and will roll with;

Hyman-Tavares-Moore
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Kapanen
Timashov-Gauthier-Shore/Spezza.

I read that NY might look to move Georgiev.

They have that really good goalie in the minors that’s played lights out in the KHL that they want to get up to the NHL. Plus an already crowded crease of goalie prospects in the A.
