#Leafs have placed Michael Hutchinson on waivers. He's 0-4-1 this season with 4.44 GAA and .879 save percentage.
Doesn't deserve all the blame for Toronto's performances (and winless record) on second half of back-to-backs, but something has to give there. |

I hope by - MaximusAurelius[player] you are not referring to Nylander.
He has a negative impact on this Leafs team imo.
By [player], I am referring to a number of very good NHL players who add significant value to their teams, even if they aren't a franchise player or the relied upon player for their team. I do consider Nylander in that mix. We're all aware that you don't. |

Well what do you know. I'll be damned.
This thread was actually right about something.
It WAS most likely his last game as a Leafs. |

There's probably at least 150 FWs in this league I'd take over Nylander on my team.
I don't like him because he's a lazy floater that plays a style of hockey I dislike very much. - MaximusAurelius
If we do the math, 12 forwards per team times 31 teams that makes about 372 NHL forwards.
Now I know the talent is not evenly distributed, but let us just for sh!ts and giggles suppose that there are 186 top six forwards. That would put Nylander on the second line of one of the 12 worst teams in hockey. Do you think that might be a slight exaggeration?

I come down on that in the "meh" category. He doesn't, because the team has been lacklustre at times - but he does, because he has to make a save. He has to do something to help the team in front of him. Not allowing weak goals would have been a start. They should be doing more to help him - there's no doubt.
My general feeling on it is that Hutch's play forces the team in front to open up to try and catch up, and that just isn't helping his case either. |

I don't think Kaskisuo is all that good but he's better than Hutch. Hutch was the freaking backup last season with the Marlies. |

he can't catch, is slow to get back up on his feet and is slow moving side-to-side in his net.
he doesn't have the athleticism right now to be an nhl goalie. |

Hutch is useless. I don't agree with the second paragraph of the tweet at all. The losses are on him. He deflates the team and they have absolutely zero confidence in him.
For sure the team needs to be better but the goalie also has to make a (frank)ing save. |

The high danger shots last night (shots in the slot basically) were 11 for Toronto and 20 for Chicago.
But ya, lets blame Hutch... |

And his rebound control is abysmal.
I don't know where he learned to catch a puck but he does it completely wrong. If you look, he snaps at the puck instead of trying to catch it. Poor form. |

I think asking an NHL backup goalie to be better is fair.
No doubt getting 2nd game of b2b is rough. but its the NHL, cant excuse the play all the time |

I think so.. Our backup goalie shouldn't be a guaranteed loss |
