From what i've seen I would agree. I think he has grown as a coach but lacks the knowledge to take the team to another level.
Green should have been an Asst coach in the NHL first. Learn from a more experienced coach. I really wanted Todd Reirden who took over from Barry after he won the cup.
Berube was asst coach for two years before taking over mid season in STL last year.
Randy Carlyle, John Stevens two names that I hope get an interview if they do make a coaching change. - manvanfan
Carlyle would get my vote. He is an excellent strategist.
Personally I'd rather him replace baumer or brown as a special assistant to green. That way we get the best of both of them |

It seems that you've been getting quite triggered lately actually. It only takes suggestions on what to try to get Horvat going before you go off sarcastically about excuses and who should be blamed. And yes you've also had your big captaincy speech already. - boonerbuck
Ok Booner.
Buddy I’m never triggered. Just caught in an endless back & forth with people who debate w/ no evidence to back up their opinions. Like FFS, ppl need to cite some plays or stats or SOMETHING instead of freaking out because I’m criticizing a player they like. |

I think when you have Pearson Sutter and Tanev out in the last minute of play and your top line is Petey Schaller and Gaudette , you have pretty well thrown your hands in the air and asked WTF can I do?
I suggested yesterday it might be time for a trade and there are 6 NHL scouts at the Comets game this morning maybe something is up? |

He is turning out to be a bonus pick that no one was counting on. Gaudette and Fotsch are two others . - VANTEL
I got the chance to watch both Focht and Jett Wo on Friday and I was very impressed with Woo, not so much with Focht. Woo is very physical and a lot smarter in the offensive zone than I thought. He is very patient with the puck and made a couple of very good passes through seams to set guys up for goals. Focht may have had an off game but his battle level was low he seemed uninterested an yet still had 2 pts. With the investment being a 5th rounder I'm willing to be patient and again maybe an off game.

Obsession? When was the last time I mentioned Gillis? This season? Nope.
Why are you obsessed with lying? - boonerbuck
It’s always Gillis this and Gillis that. Let it go man. Gillis, Nonis, and Burke have no relevance to this roster. Too much time has passed.
You do have a problem of letting go of the past. |

Yup, that showed (even further) that Green doesn’t know what he’s doing (forget the zone deployment for a second lol). Coaches who resort to utilizing the blender method have no clue. First you need to know what constitutes compatibility - then those lines need proper continuity to establish chemistry. New mates every shift will never get anyone anywhere. 🤷♂️ |

You guys are going to look pretty foolish when the Canucks make the playoffs and Green wins the Jack Adams |

Wow, all this time and one mention of Gillis still triggers your defenses. Can't even handle it once a season.

No fan is rooting against sustainable success just to be proven right. But if they achieve an acceptable minimum & act like that’s an accomplishment, it doesn’t bode well for the immediate future of this group. I have us winning the 2028 Cup - still looking for a sportsbook willing to give me odds |

The level that you are exaggerating at is pretty freakish in nature. Relax, I only addressed your rants about Horvat and the related Captaincy beef you have once. I'd be pretty busy if it had a triggering effect on me. I'm not freaking out.

Well He's great till he loses the room years later. That's why green would be a great counter balance. Then you'd have a ton more playoff experience and cup winning experience as well. Maybe then he'd get brown back on track. He'd be a great upgrade on baumer as he has excellent defensive strategies |
