Huge pressure from FA to make the playoffs this season. Head's will roll if they don't. - VanHockeyGuy
Premature expectations.
Team owners and management are just as guilty of it as our fanbase. |

FA's own words, "we've turned the corner". He's going to want to see a significant improvement over last season. The team is better and entertaining for the most part. How patient is he going to be? |

If the last sentence is true there needs to be a change. This team has lacked structure and consistency for years. - bloatedmosquito
I mean coaching and game planning and systems could be the problem. It could also be that they barely have an NHL roster now, where they haven’t the past 6 years. It’s going to take time. |

I think some of us have been saying that game planning, systems, player skill level, and overall organizational depth is not NHL quality yet.
It’s close, they are much more competitive, but just not there yet. I think that’s at the core of problem that us whiners have.
FA is a (frank)ing dink. He’s a fat rich kid and that’s about it. His public comments have been and will continue to be a joke. |

I'd say both which is a result of trying to rush the process. Some people are blinded by their custom made carbon neutral pom-poms and don't recognize this. |

I think the talent is pretty much there.
The creativity certainly needs working on. I don't like that the lines are changed 7 times a game.
Guys like Pearson Leivo Sven Loui are not doing what they are payed to do. Benning needs to fix that and Travis needs to stop messing the lines.

Windows of opportunity are not as wide as they use to be. Dynasties are almost non existent.
If your team has a young core pretty much in place you start building around them.
Canucks have 6 very good prospects that will probably be in the NHL in the next 3 years. Podz Hogz Madden Mikey D Lind Woo and that is excluding guys like Lockwood Focht Rathbone Rafferty
It is a few games we lost .
Linden will always remind me of the that guy that was skating around doing ballet in his jock strap in the movie Slapshot. |

lol true. But I do wish he'd play tougher hockey though. Not so much the Sedin mold which he was mentored in but the Iggy mold. Too bad we just could clone Iginla... - LordHumungous
I expect him to at least do what he's done in the past... produce. Not so hung up on his physical play.

Obsession? When was the last time I mentioned Gillis? This season? Nope.

Blame? People are talking about what to do about the 2nd line problem and it keeps coming back to "blame" and "excuses" from you.... get over the Captaincy decision already. Its a little early to strip the C from Horvat because he's cold. - boonerbuck
Jesus, those must be trigger words for you. Not sure what else to call it when people continually insist that Bo’s struggles are all because of his wingers... The same wingers who are outscoring him 5v5, outhitting him and have a better +/-.
I never said to strip his captaincy. I said we need him to play with more passion, intensity & physicality. |

He dragged his ass out of the offensive zone yesterday & put the next line on the ice (which had already jumped on & transitioned in the neutral zone) offside.
There was no sign of hustle exiting that zone. Then just a shrug as he reached the bench after the whistle. That’s the kind of play that if ANY OTHER player did that, I’d hope Bo would get in his face as a leader & set him straight... But what happens when it’s the guy wearing the C playing like that? If you say you’re a “lead by example” Captain, be one. |

Yup, it's not just Bo, but he plays a huge role in this. It's early in the season I get it but there needs to be an attitude adjustment on this team and everyone needs to buy into it. Maybe Roussel can get things going or? |

It seems that you've been getting quite triggered lately actually. It only takes suggestions on what to try to get Horvat going before you go off sarcastically about excuses and who should be blamed. And yes you've also had your big captaincy speech already.
