Looks like Botterill isn't going to do anything

Its fascinating to watch a GM piss away a season in real time. Twice.

I’ll take Dylan Cozens over trading a million assets for a player who isn’t worth it, or handing a gazillion dollars to a UFA we’ll be hoping to buy out in 3 years time.

It’s a young mans game. If Cozens turns out to be the 2C we need to be taken seriously as a contender, that is worth more then any attempt to speed up the process last year

By status, i guess not. But everyone who watches all-22 says john brown is great and always gets open.
- robz228

John brown is putting up 1wr stats for the most part as well.

Aside from ( all-22 ) he isn't being paid like a #1, or nor does a have traditional #1 nfl stats

Crags has to stay on agenda :

Botts isnt doing enough 17 games into a new season with new players and a new system.

The sky is falling!

Duke Could be hurt, their giving up a long threat

I'm an allen fan. Plain and simple. I like the guy, he's good for the community and is still a young project.

Even the non allen fans have to realize the Bill's do not have a true #1 wr? Maybe not?

- Boss34

Sure, but let’s not use that as a reason for Allen still developing either
Having a “#1” would be nice,
but that’s not why Allen is overthrowing every single deep pass

He’s looked better with the short passing game this year, but still has quite a ways to go too

Allen isn’t ready to be throwing 40xs a game
Should be more like 30
Give the ball to Singletary 20xs a game
Took 5years before Pitt was throwing over 30xs a game with Ben
Idk why we are rushing someone that everyone knew needed a lot of development??

And WR is deep with high end talent this year in the draft
That’s when we should use our 1st to acquire Allen’s “#1”
Let that guy grow with Allen

shouldn't beasley be a YAC guy?

seems he always has to go to the ground to make catches, which makes it impossible.

- robz228

I feel Allen never goes to him at times when he should be goign to him.

Meh there was more then just JCraig drinking the koolaid after our 8-1-1 start, just like there are more people having a melt down after going 1-5-1 in the last 7. People ride the emotional wave but fall victim to small sample sizes.

Just two weeks ago Howard Simon and Jeremy White were talking about how the Bills were going to be 10-1 going into their matchup with the Cowboys. They are now predicting 9-7.

Real football started last week and the Bills are 0-1

Real hockey starts around Christmas time.

Anything before that is giving yourself a cushion, or a larger hill to climb but the games always get tougher.

Allen also takes some of the TDs by running them in himself.

Yeah, you can't take those away from him. Lamar Jackson is an MVP candidate because he is such a running threat. He seems to be going down the RGIII path, hopefully, though, without the devastating injury.

This is a good post, I really don't understand what they are doing sometimes with the game plans. It does feel like sometimes they are rushing him, funny thing is the numbers prove it when they throw the ball 30 times or fewer he is 7-2 as starter and over 30 times he is 4-7. Running the ball helps any QB especially young QB's learning there way.

He's tied with Lamar Jackson for the league lead in rushing TD's by a QB, so it's not insignificant.

Lazar is 2nd in ppg in rochester and is older. my guess is they just want him to stay longer and work on something. Either way its not like bringing up lazar or tage is going to drastically improve the team. Hopefully is wakes them up and they start playing harder like they did early on
- SabresFaninIndiana

The big difference is that Tage is waiver exempt. They can use a regular recall and actually play him over ERod. Lazar is not waiver exempt. They may have used an emergency recall on him so that they don't have to waive him again to send him down. If they did, he can only play if another forward (like MoJo) is injured.

All this says to me is they probably don't intend on playing him.

I'm not taking TDs away from allen, I'm taking some away from brown.

I agree with Lamar as well. Pretty sure his receivers numbers are hurt, by him being so awesome on the ground.

This is in regards to browns "only 2" tds

I'm not sure how lazy applies?

If the qb runs for TDs, the receivers will have less opportunity to catch TDs?

I by nature am an optimist, but I have seen this movie before with both of our teams, It doesn't end well.

5 game losing streaks are not going to cut it in the NHL and not being able to complete a pass over 30 yards in the air taint gonna cut it in the NFL.

I guess we suck again x 2.

has 4
and i would say mark andrews is his red zone target who has 5

Coming into the league you would say Lamar was set to be a runner
nobody would have called josh allen a running qb

Lamar Jackson's passing stats aren't that much better than Allen's, but he's rushing for a lot more yards.

Krueger said Lazar is the call up because of the role he'll have. He said they'll make a decision on Johansson playing Thursday morning. He said it won't be long-term. Scandella is a definite possibility for Thursday.

again on the second part would you have called josh allen a runnign qb

We expect Lamar to run we were not expecting josh to run we expected passign yards and look like what the nfl has become

If one thing that history has shown "running" qbs have a short life cycle not just form getting hit but because they are easily schemed for
