Still about Don Cherry? Ugh
He’s a jerk, has been for years
Why would any Sabres fan give a sh!t if he’s on air in Canada or not anyways?
Good riddance

Back in the day , you were able to watch the Toronto games on CBC with an antenna in buffalo.

Cherry would always show the fights and big hits. Fighting drew alot of fans. Don Cherry even made some $ selling nhl fighting videos.

CBC was part of any basic cable package in the '90s and 2000s. I think it still is actually. For some reason it's still in 480p

I still get amped up when I hear the original HNiC theme

"Hello Canada and hockey fans in the United states and Newfoundland!"

Before he coached the Amerks, he played with them in the late 60s. It's way before I knew anything about anything, but supposedly when he was playing he had a legendary fight at center ice of the war memorial that the sportscasters still talk about.
Blood on the ice and the whole thing.

As far as I know, no sportscasters, nor even Grapes himself, have taken a public position on the rights of homosexuals to own land in ancient greece.

The music still gives me chills.

Toronto was in the other conference and was kinda the "other" team. Wendel Clark, doug gilmour, Felix potvin, Matt's sundin.

Keep the political crap out of here guys

Go to (frank)ing reddit if you want to go on about an old (frank)tard's moronic statements

I hear enough of it every time I turn on Fox or CNN

NO one cares what you guys think of soon to be dead Don Cherry

No one cares about your political affiliations or what does or does not offend you

- BeadyEyedDouche

As if anybody cares what you have to say.

*Greece

j/k

The ideal human beauty to the Greeks was, in fact, an adolescent male, pre-teen, just after childhood and just before puberty. And they were groomed by older men. All Greeks were homosexual, is the punch-line.

We will easily make the playoffs..

We just need to improve the center and wing soon or maybe at the deadline and we will be a force to be reckoned with

- gerbe75pts

are you as sure about they will easily make the playoffs as you were that the sabres had a 0% chance they would lose both games in sweden?

Things happen honestly I think you guys are being way too hard on them they have a great coach that will motivate them and steer them in the right direction ..

I am pretty confident they will be in the playoffs at the end of the year

See, that's where I think he did, or at least his agent did. Not only did Botterill sign him one year out of college, he burned a year of his entry level deal on 10 or so meaningless games. He didn't even go to Rochester. There's no way the team does that unless it doesn't have the leverage.
- buffalofan19

There is another way of looking at this. I am assuming that his stats would be better if he stayed in school and came out a year later. If his stats were better he would be in a better position to get more money on that first RFA contract. As it is now he won't have much leverage there. I am not saying this was the plan (I doubt it was) - I am just saying that it can go the other way too if the player doesn't play well.

I’ve heard Peters talk about the old Don Cherry fight takes

Maybe he was worth watching at one point
But he’s just been yelling at the camera for quite a while now
I certainly won’t miss his rants
Too many tv sports personalities are like that now
Jim Rome, Steven A Smith, etc etc etc
It’s all just who can yell the loudest
Doesn’t do anything for me

It boils down to the risk you're willing to accept. A guaranteed 925K per year now (if invested properly at his age enough to cover your entire retirement alone) or the risk of losing it all for about what, 15% more the next year? Tops?

Entry contracts have an upper limit. Guessing that the increase over the current guarantee didn't cover the risk assumed by Casey.

Define “mass.” And please tell us how you have come to know so much about Canada’s immigration policy based upon primary research/ documents, rather than the manufactured crisis-war on Xmas- poor little white man sources you will inevitably site.

It's called doing your own research, you daft twat. Something I'm willing to wager you haven't done since grade school in lieu of being told what to think and what to believe every day from your favoite media outlets.

But please, keep nodding your head and staring blankley into the television like some mindless junkie.

Studying history is something I thoroughly enjoy. There's this old phrase, something about not learning from history..

1) Mitts cannot be offer sheeted, so we may gain the leverage now.

2) If we give him a bridge deal and he finally takes off he’ll be the only contract we have that is actually outplaying the money he is making which is quite sad and the reason why we are in the spot we are in.

Maybe by then some of the “ifs” in your Mitts take will come to reality.
