Sure, his stats are up a little bit in some categories. That is, they are up from the absolutely putrid stats that he put up in the past. That said.... this offense is bad. Half the teams in the league have decent (just decent) quarterbacks and the difference between them and him is sizable. We'd throw a parade when we put up 20 points in a game or he passes for 175 yards. We have to do better.

Agreed.

But that wasn't the debate.

Daboll has to take some responsibility in this, too. How about Lee Smith's 67 penalties this year? Knox's drops? WR's not getting separation? The mind boggling (non) usage of Devon Singletary?

There's enough blame to go around for everyone.

If someone doesn't like Allen, fine, but to blame it all on him is laughable.

And that’s totally your opinion.

But I asked if you could reasonably make an argument that Mayfield is better, and you can’t because it’s not statistically possible this season.

But most reasonable, logical people wouldn’t let that define or determine Mayfields career.

Just like I’m not going to pretend I know what Allen is until he has a compliment of actual NFL weapons around him

I’ll just say it again.

I think Allen is ok. Not great, not very good. Ok.

Every point we score is him carrying us into the end zone

If I'm doing my math right, that puts him behind both of him and Fitz, plus Tyrod, Mariota and Tannehill, plus both of the McCowns and Sam Bradford

I dont think I'm watching the same games where he's playing very competent football. I must be watching re runs of trent Edwards

- jcragcrumple

that's not very good

If you put a gun to my head and make me pick one I'd take Mayfield because at least at some point he was a stud. He might be again. Allen can make no such claims.

Yes yes he does need to get better, just like the O-Line needs to be better, TE's need to be better, I would say the run game but we hardly use it, and the OC needs to be better. And Lee Smith should be washing dishes somewhere cause he's killing us

The two are not mutually exclusive. All of them can be true - a lot of things were bad. Also, Allen isn't good enough.

they could really use a no. 1 receiver...or someone better than brown who's good, but might be better served as a no. 2...and I like brown

And he's trending upwards. And there are other traits he exhibits, such as accountability, leadership, class, that'll carry him forward.

Every scout said he'd be a project.

If he hit half the guys that were wide open and he missed they would have won comfortably

agreed...he has accuracy problems, and his long ball is...well...let's just say he doesn't know his own strength...

that said, I did see some drops, which is per usual...if you get a no. 1 it opens up the field for the running game and allows Beasley to be the slot/possession receiver he is

Ok. Let’s see. Baker’s best two games last season. Both against Cincinnati

46-63 542 yards 7 total TD’s 0 picks 10 carries 12 yards

Josh Allen against Miami last season

35-59 455 yards 3 picks 18 carries 230 yards 7 TD’s

If you wanna mention Baker’s 300 yard passing games he had 7 interceptions in the two of them

Anybody see that catch by Cooper, we need a WR like that, it would make Brown more dangerous

Wouldn't you take Mayfield over Allen? I would too.
- Slump Buster

You switch QBs today’s I think buffalo loses by more than 3. Mayfield has a ton more weapons than allen and had more time to throw for the most part. Doesn’t imply allen is great just that mayfield wasn’t better today

Anybody hear anything new on what White reported about the Sabres
- Buff36

I haven't.
Homie mentioned that there was some mention of Arizona.
If that is true, I'd love to see them go after Christan Dvorak...young C producing pretty well, still alot of room for growth. Love to see him in Blue and Gold.

Zona also has a nice RW prospect in Jan Jenik who is tearing it up in the AHL. Would love to see them get their hands on him.

Not a vet, but hope you have a great veterans day. One of my grandpas was in the army air corps in the Pacific in WW2 and the other was a Korea vet. Thanks for your service
