I’m gonna guess the western conference forward is Jason Zucker and we’re gonna give up a prospect like Samuelsson and a pick or two

Then we will swap a guy like Scandella for Grabner

That would be two fast guys who can score

- sbroads24

Does the monies work?

Both fit the softie theme that is trending here.

We can live without all of them. Especially Sobotka and Vesey
- sbroads24

Right, so 1 or 2 of those spots cant be upgraded a couple levels of toughness?

I'm not saying scratch skinner for a meathead.

There are fun things about going to the game.
Winning and excitement

Excitement for me is a physical game

I’m guessing it could if Sobotka is long term. Don’t we get relief with if he’s long term injured reserve?

Get people that can score goals.
The goon stuff will disappear.
If it doesn’t the other team will always be playing catch up and Buffalo will be in the power play.

- ImThatGuy

Easy- just get people that score

People that score- found early in the draft more commonly

Not following Boss, not at all. Not sure where you got all this from?
If you were to reread my post, I was leaping off of your comment, not deriding it.

The post was about how certain posters twist what other posters mean when, like you and I have repeatedly stated the team is soft and point out that they need more toughness. Then certain other posters twist that toughness to mean face punchers..just like Sbroads did about 30 seconds after I posted mine.
Maybe you should put your drinks down, or move y to ur eyes closer to your tablet, lol!

Now I do find it interesting that when I stated yesterday just before opening faceoff that I hope Risto annihilates Kuch...how you twisted that to mean goonerism as well. I was clearly going for him to lay him out in lavender with a forceful hit that all the Risto lovers use as their top reason for keeping him.
Nope, didn't see if at all. In fact, the physical beast was credited with 3 hits...three...but did get on track with -2 though.

He’s the least of my long term worries.

But I don’t like how he isn’t carrying the puck.

I’m hoping he isn’t coached not to

- sbroads24

I am worried about that to, not to be a schmuck, but it might be better to put him on PP2, let him lead the rush. He isn't gonna do that with Eichel on PP1

Blue Collar.

Member when hockey was fun?
I don’t.

- ImThatGuy

The last time hockey was fun, they were highly skilled, rolled 4 lines, and had strong depth beyond that.

I'm being stubborn and sticking with the western conference forward being Ondrej Kase. My backup would be Toffoli.

His rough start to this season may add to it being possible.

And on that team were guys who stuck up for each other, were afraid to stick their nose in, and play tough physically

Adam Mair
Jay McKee
Paul Gustad
Mike Grier
Andrew Peters, played 1/3 of season.

Outside of Peter's, those guys could play, be tough and didn't need to fight to keep their job...but the would answer the bell.

The 2019-20 edition lacks that toughness, e cept Risto who plays it occassionally, very occassionally.

None of that stopped Chris Neil from the hit he administered on Drury. Is the goal deterrence from the hit even happening, the response, or both?

Seriously I don’t get it.

That team had guys like Drury and Connolly get laid out. Guys weren’t afraid to do a thing.

Hell, guys have taken cheap shots AT Tom Wilson and haven’t thought twice about it

If you want to replace one of the twins with a face puncher, go for it, but the team needs scoring more than that imo

I'll go on the record. I'm okay with goons. I'll take two on this team right now. Goons are a part of the history of hockey and have made this sport fun to watch for years and years. They bring an entertainment element to the game that's outside of pure skill: They bring drama when games are boring: You love your goons but hate other teams goons, but can't wait to see what happens next. We badly need a good old-fashioned brawl game so this team can find out who they are and who they're going to be in this league. SEND IN THE CLOWNS!

Definitely stopped it from happening again.

Lindy Ruff as coach answered the bell.

Did that response some how bother you? Neal headhunts our captain, then we went after their stars.

IMO both.
I don't want the reincarnation of Andrew Peter's, let me be clear.

The biggest beef for me with yesterday's game was,
Zero payback on Kucherov - a nice clean hit to lay him out flat would be "notice" given, as well as the emotional bump it should have given the Sabres bench. Delivered early, it could have set the tone.

And true to form, there was zero response to the Eichel hit except from our leading goal scorer.

Buff36 is absolutely right, team is a bunch of wussy's ... honestly, I don't want to hear the bullsh!t about Risto physicality. He wilted like a pretty flower.

BTW, Neil was a complete lunatic, you'll never stop it completely, but to deter other lesser lunatics. I would not consider Cernak a lunatic.
