I am not sure if he was referring to to both leagues combined . You would need to give the interview a listen. I am not sure if he played there last ear also ?

Well yeah, but only one of them was the KHL.

BUt he is playing under 2 mins a game, most under 1min. Hard to produce with icetime like that. What are his advanced stats like? I'm too lazy to look it up.

Yeah ok, I was just replying to a post that said his KHL numbers are great for his age. Sheesh... Podkolzin has so many white knights in this fanbase

if you think any color scheme or logo other than the blue+white+green and the stick in the rink logo is the best, then you are wrong, and your opinion is wrong, and your face is wrong.

also, Luongo's eggshell mask is the best modern era Canuck mask of all time, big whoop want to fight about it?

Pretty sure DCT has repeatedly said that he thinks Pod can be a valuable forechecking/physical middle 6 winger.

Mustard and sauerkraut or fried onions

At 6’4” 248lbs I can on occasion drink a whole box of 30 Coors Banquet, I’m pretty lit up but it can be done

- Pacificgem

See here in MB this is a normal occurrence by many that are smaller than you are.

Me, no, a 24 is the finish line.

Guess I need to gain 28lbs so I can smash another 20 beers. Ever tested your blood alcohol (or should I say alcohol blood ) after one of those benders?

- DrChristianTroy

A co worker of mine last year drank a 40 before work. He blew 2.2 an hour after shift had started and another hour later he blew 2.8 with no remembrance of doing the last test or anything that had happened before.

That you did. But only pointing out 0-0-0 with under 2 mins of playtime a game to counter is pretty small minded. I'm too lazy to look at his advanced stats, but it is entirely possible that is what the guy was looking at when he said that. If he is driving positive play in the KHL as a U19, that is a good sign. If he is driving positive play, that would also suggest that 5-10 mins would likely have him getting some points in this games played.
Again I don't know if he is, but someone who looks at that kind of information had good things to say about his play at the KHL level.

Some don't like him at his draft position and others seem biased against Russians. Whatever it is this kid seems to have the Euro skill with NA heart attributes JB wants. The hope is his development onto the Canucks adds another winning ingredient.

Unlike you, I never claim to be an expert in subjects I don’t understand. Coaching, roster deployment etc. What I do specialize in, is player Rumors and Player cocaine usage. Expertise that is very useful to carols blogs. I mean I successfully diagnosed Tiny Jump and Jkuzzi’s bath salt and listerine usage almost immediately.

Prove your credibility and posters will take your opinions seriously

He's going to be difficult to evaluate based on pure production this year. It's hard to even find ATOI stats for the 3 Russian leagues he's rotating between. And it's gotta be tough on a kid to be playing for 3 different coaches, with 3 different sets of teammates in different roles.

What are you taking about. Vantel said he is producing well in the KHL given his age and Troy simply pointed out that he has zero points. Regardless of ice time, the fact is he has ZERO points. Either Vantel misquoted the guy or he is in fact also on 🛀 🧂

It's all about context and facts.
Last season he had 1 less point in the same amount of games in the WJC than he did playing against 18 year olds. (not normal for an underager to even play for Russia at WJC)

33 points in 26 international u18 games last season.

4 points in 2 games vs his own age group similar to CHL

7 points in 12 games in VHL. Which I don't really know the VHL very well but i'm guessing it's somewhere between an NCAA top rated team and an AHL club for skill level.

0 points in 11 KHL games with limited minutes.

So context would tell you something like he's too good for his own age group. Not good enough for the 2nd best league in the world. Somewhere between that and won't turn 19 until june.

VHL seems to be full of early 20 year olds with a few teenagers mixed in. Basically like Russia's AHL if vets weren't allowed to plays.

CBJ had a 2nd rounder who's 1 year older playing on the same VHL team as Pod, might be an interesting measuring stick to use if Pod ends up playing a decent amount of VHL games this year. So far the CBJ prospect has better numbers but the sample size is small.

Probably from the same source that told him the cap rules were changing.

CBJ pick is also a full year older. Has 5 gams in the KHL with no points.

Yeah looking at the age elite prospects has it's mostly 19-24 year olds with the occasional older player on.

yeah, I mentioned that. Still, a decent comparable for Pod considering the draft position differential. But the problem once again is that we don't know how much ice time the two of them are getting. Even if both are getting similar 5v5 time, one guy being on PP1 and the other on PP2 is a big deal for box score scouting.

Yeah you did, sorry I was playing with my 1 year old while attempting to respond back

We really don't know much is right. That's why we trust "the scouts" and guys like Robinson to tell us what we don't know.
