I'm too lazy to look at his advanced stats, but it is entirely possible that is what the guy was looking at when he said that. If he is driving positive play in the KHL as a U19, that is a good sign. If he is driving positive play, that would also suggest that 5-10 mins would likely have him getting some points in this games played.
Again I don't know if he is, but someone who looks at that kind of information had good things to say about his play at the KHL level.

Some don't like him at his draft position and others seem biased against Russians. Whatever it is this kid seems to have the Euro skill with NA heart attributes JB wants. The hope is his development onto the Canucks adds another winning ingredient.

He's going to be difficult to evaluate based on pure production this year. It's hard to even find ATOI stats for the 3 Russian leagues he's rotating between. And it's gotta be tough on a kid to be playing for 3 different coaches, with 3 different sets of teammates in different roles.

yeah, I mentioned that. Still, a decent comparable for Pod considering the draft position differential. But the problem once again is that we don't know how much ice time the two of them are getting. Even if both are getting similar 5v5 time, one guy being on PP1 and the other on PP2 is a big deal for box score scouting.
