Nine Inch Nails really hasn't put out a good son since 1997.

That is all.

Sorry, spilled coffee on my keyboard the other day and some keys are a bit sticky. Haven't gotten a new one from IT yet.

Also always ignored in those moronic hindsight evals is that the NHL had not really started the shift into the way its played now....all skilled lines, all transition, forward moving dmen across the board.

It was still very much a place for Pronger replicas, and Dan Girardi Types

- juiced

well of course there is, morin isn't one of those though.

It was a bad pick. it happens. Its ok to say it

Morin was considered a project when drafted, safe to say the project didn't work out. Don't draft a project at 11, draft a player.
- ClaudeFather

that is pretty much the bottom line. It didn't work out so now you move along. No one hits on all their picks. Many have just made Morin out to be something he is not.

I personally was hoping for Pulock with that pick. Word was Montreal wanted him also, but they picked at the back end.

Personally i was hoping Nichushkin would've fell to 11, so I would've been (frank)ed either way

Well I'm talking about who was available. But yes, the Russian Eric Lindros didn't really work out too well. Let him stand as why to NOT trade for Puljujarvi.

Totally forgot he played for Montreal
He will be involved with something, either a goal or something agitating

Hindsight in looking at the pick is a waste of time. Anyone can be an expert using hindsight. Not sure what anyone expects from a player who has barely played hockey in the last two years. He's not going to get back sitting in the press box. If they have any interest in seeing it through, he needs to be waived and if he clears sent to the Phantoms and playing as much as possible. That is really the only chance.

don't need hindsight as it is a fact it was a very questionable pick at the time was it not?

Not sure why their so reluctant to waive him.

No one is claiming him. 2013 draft is ancient history

IIRC, most of the board wanted either Ristolainen or Nichushkin.

I remember you being Team Pulock. I was on Team Morrissey.

In hindsight, I have no idea how the Flyers passed on Domi with the Bob Clarke connection and the Flyers usual love for forwards with skill + grit.

I didn't want Domi because then we'd have to draft Tomas Kaberle's son to protect Max from Luke Richardson's son.

What gets GMs in trouble is being blinded by raw physical tools and downplaying an absence of skill.

It's what separates a failed project like Morin from a successful project like Sanheim. Sanheim always had some skill.

Exactly, the 'old school hockey' mentality creeps in and they over value the big fast Dman but he can't break a puck out of his own zone. This isn't football, raw physical tools don't go as far.

at the draft i wanted zadorov or domi. but yes i remember the word was motreal tried to trade up to get that spot. and then later tried to trade for morin. hindsight and can't hit on everyone. who knows where he would be without the injuries as well. don't know what he did to the hockey gods, but they took pronger from us and said no...you can't have this one either.
