But at least Kadri would do something. Right now, the Leafs have nobody who does anything. Not even Muzzin, who you'd think might do something.

When the other teams know the Leafs won't do anything, they know they can bully them, even more than they already do.

That's a big problem. Matthews, Barrie and Kerfoot have already been steamrolled with no reply. Whether they were clean hits or not doesn't really matter. Somebody should have done something. The only time I've seen anybody respond was Marincin of all people when Backes ran over Andersen.

That's sad when you think about how the successful playoff teams the Leafs had in the past had guys that would smash you for doing anything to a teammate.

The problem is simple.

The refs let poop go. If the rules were enforced, the Leafs would have the right idea with their roster. When Chara is free to punch people in the face, and Tom Wilson is running around injuring people with impunity, then you do need someone like that.

... and when a Leaf retaliates, they get hit with precedent-setting suspensions.

Agree. I don't think we lose much with that replacement.

He could even be better, Naz seemed to just coast around once he hit the third line.

Kerfoots line is the best line some nights

That’s exactly how I feel. He’s gonna score 50 plus every year but if he’s not a selke nominee he’s an overpaid bust.
- shack67

It seems so, but lets remember he hasn’t. This is like the ‘Kessel is a 40 goal scorer’ garbage from a few years ago...

Matthews is a beast and will lead this team to great things whether he hits 50 or not. My concern is with the team around him...

I think I actually like Kerfoot better. Guy is faster and is not afraid to go to the dirty areas or forcheck... great player and fits into the 3rd line center role perfectly...

After reading some of those sundin comments in the other thread I looked up his stats... did u know that his best season ever he put up 94 pts... his next best seasons were 85, 83, 83...

Mitch hit 94 already once...

Just seems unfathomable... especially playing in the 90's/early 2000's.

- Bleedz_Blue

Dont know what stats you looked up, but he had a 114 points in 93. As a Leaf absolutely. Also, Sundin played with poope wingers his whol career. His best wingers were an old Gary Roberts, and an old Alex Mogilny

If Kerfoot gets suspended twice in the playoffs and you still like him more than Kadri, then yes, yes, you are...
