Steib might be one of the most underappreciated star pitchers ever.

Sandin and Nylander likely gets you Doughty without money retained.(maybe minor picks or throw-ins on either side) Do you do it?
- rSole

Nylander yes
Sandin NO!

If only they had come up with these fancy stats in the early 80's.. Steib put up some great numbers on some bad teams..
In 1990, when he was 18-6, I thought he might have a chance to win the Cy Young.. Too bad Bob Welch was like 27-5, I think.. Lousy Oakland Athletics.

its hilarious now to see how useless wins is for pitchers but how heavily it influenced voting

Sandin is going to be good.

A staple in the top 4 and cheap for a few years. We are keeping him.

All we are getting for the next few months in trades are Petan for a pick/low tier prospect and if the stars align a pick for Marincin.
- Santo_44

anything between a 3rd and a 7th round pick would be fine imo for the Leafs.

Wins also heavily factors into the Vezina. It's the way it is.

Depth trades and some other teams will swap struggling contracts.

Other than that it’s nothing until mid January.

And even then, it’s stilly to talk about the TDL because who knows who will be available until teams know they are out of the playoffs.

CBJ hopefully.

Yup.

I’d be fine if Dubas saw another 20 year old Trevor Moore type player that they could work on too

Or a backup goalie...whatever is is it’ll be minor.

To be fair, the only stats to use were Wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

I doubt CBJ gives up either unless a team gives the moon.

Hopefully.

Detroit and Ottawa have garbage that will be available except maybe Athanasiou.

Marlies getting out shot 17-5 after the first period.

Sandin not playing. Apparently too many defense on the team and it's his turn to sit.

I fear that you are correct.. because Dubas will wait "hoping" that Nylander and a few of the others begin to produce closer to the expectations for them..

and primarily because he(Dubas) doesn't want to make the trade that everyone on the planet knows he must make...

the moving ( or not) of guys like Petan is inconsequential ...

Waiting is good.

Fans screamed at the leafs all those years for trading talented young players after half a season of lacklustre play...Now it’s the opposite.

Nylander is different blah blah blah. He isn’t.

but would Kekalainen go for it ?

You'd have to trick him.

Spell it Cödi Cäeci and maybe it'll work.
