That penalty kill was pretty lackluster and you definitely felt a goal was coming. Jets aren't really sustaining any pressure but it's not like we're piling on the chances either. This 2nd period has been pretty dull.

I wish we had the depth for our 4th line to be Wood-Coleman-Simmonds. We probably do have the depth, but the Zajac line with Coleman has been working well.

well... that's the problem with swapping Hischier and Hughes. You have to be selective with where you play Hughes, and the 4th line was spending more time in the O-zone than D, at least to the eye. In a tie game Hynes didn't want to risk a bad turnover with Hughes-Gusev on the ice together.. which still makes no sense lol.

We won a game yesterday, if we win one today that's two in a row. If we win one tomorrow that's called a winning streak.

I answered my own question. A 36% CF at 5v5 (-15% relative to the team), despite a 51% O-Zone start pct. He’s not Lovejoy, he’s worse. Those numbers seem impossibly bad.

Sure they can.

They dropped 5 in a row and their big guns on O are injured. Rantanen is week to week and Landeskog out indefinitely .

This is the exact scenario where a trade is warranted.
