It comes down to the players not the coach. If I recall correctly, Babcock coached a team Canada that was ridiculously offensively talented in the Olympics. They didn't allow too many chances let alone goals.

I have him on my fantasy team.

He seems to be getting PP1 time and I don't see a d man that can take that away from him right now, definitively a d man on the rise.

Mitch was fine lastnight, and he is far more engaged on a nightly basis than Willy. The truth is, you guys are failing to acknowledge that there’s a serious problem with the way he plays the game. He’s supposed to grow, he should have a much more sound defensive game by now. He never developed it because he doesn’t want to make contact ever.

Nylander has been underwhelming for sure, and he was not anything close to good last night, but he's hardly the reason the team has the record it does.

If the discussion is to be about players costing the team on the nightly, it should be based around guys like Tyson Barrie. Dude comes into the season wanting 8 mil per on a max deal, and has been less reliable than Justin Holl.

Willy being sloppy and not filling the net enough is one thing, guys like Barrie being responsible for our net getting filled is quite another.

Willie floats and shows no effort, hasnt for a while most nights. Once this season i saw him chase down a puck.

Willie is not the only reason this team is a bore and hasnt played well. Agreed.
But as for barrie, hes being asked to play a different style on a new team and system.
He will need time to adjust.
