I love that they won, i truly do, but we squeaked out a win against a poor poor team.

Other than beating Boston once, i can't remember a game we've won against a team we'd likely meet when the playoffs begin.

I think this team has serious make up issues, but can be fairly easily resolved if the right moves are made imo

Granted there are depth issues on defence, there have also been far more injuries than usual. The last game against Washington was an excellent all-round effort, where despite horrific officiating, it still went to overtime.

The play that lead to the third flyer goal was enough for me to see that 88 doesn’t give a fiddlers (frank). Too bad he only got benched for a couple shifts.

Good play gets players more ice time, simple as that. The only problem with it is that they’d only be able to send third and fourth liners out cuz they’re the only ones playin for the crest on the front of their jersey.

1st round pick infatuation. Been a Leafy thing for decades. Chose the other guy. He seemed like a good choice at the time, enough tom pay big money later too. They should have seen one dimensional and went with overall ability, but they went with good looking instead.

That's a travesty. A (frank)ing travesty. New York is one of the worst commissions. Definitely something fishy about that doctor stopping that fight. I've seen dozens of fights with twice as much damage that kept going until the end.

If anything, it forces a rematch so in the end, they'll do it somewhere else and people will get to see a full 5 round fight.

But as far as tonight goes, a lot of angry, angry people both in New York and around the world who paid to watch that bullpoop ending.

They probably practice it and have a pecking order. I've seen teams have a full team tournament after a practice and it determines their SO line-up for the week / month / year etc.

The gritty and hard working players are ones he brought in. Hyman, Kapanen, Muzzin, and Holl. Even Marchment with the Marlies.

I’ll take Dubas over any other GM the Leafs had post lockout.
