If Galchenyuk doesn’t have chemistry with Geno I’d still try him with Sid. Just because Simon is producing X, Y, Z it doesn’t mean Galchenyuk (or someone else) couldn’t put up X+2, Y+3, and Z+4 in a number of categories. I also don’t see any reason why Simon wouldn’t still do the things he does effectively with Geno (as we saw him do in a depth role previously)

I would worry about putting Galch on the right side and I would worry about the non-Crosby defense from the forwards. I think Simon takes some of the pressure off of Crosby to have to do everything.

Micheal Haley had an impressive bout last night with Patty Maroon. Kind of impressed Haley’s stuck around this long after being the islanders call up to “get” Max Talbot. Good for him. Dude can skate.

Is Kassian still playing with Mcdavid? Boy you can tell the Canadian/wussy USA approach. Mcdavid gets Kassian, a guy that can fight, hit, score. Crosby gets Simon. A guy that controls entered zones. Or whatever you guys think he does well.

Reading the analysis of today's match up on Pensburgh and was stunned by the news that Simon recorded first career three point game against Philly. This can't be true.

When we looked at some of Galchenyuk’s defensive stats from his time at wing in Montreal there was a lot of blue which was positive. I don’t think he’s a bad winger defensively and I made it a point to outline it when I saw it early on. His first period as a Penguin he had the biggest hit on the ice, he back checked as F1 where he intercepted their pass and we went back the other way, and I only remember him turning it over at the blue line once and that’ll happen now and then when you’re trying to create all the time. Looking forward to the game!

He's been playing a ton and seems to be playing pretty well, too. Good for him. Good trade for both sides.

Yeah definitely. It’s too bad that team hasn’t been able to stay healthy once again. They’ve already missed games from Lindholm (who just came back to lead them in TOI, he’s sick), Kase (who’s a threat every time he’s on the ice), and Manson is out for a couple months which is why they got Gudbranson

I just read their blog. They’re one of the best home ice teams but they’ve struggled on the road. The Henrique line is +22 - he was absolutely robbed by Markstrom last night, the highlights were 👍🏻

Sucks. Björkvist will be a good bottom 6 forward in the near future.

If he isn’t an injury-prone player.

Klefbom possibly... Holland was asked about there future D in the next couple seasons and only mentioned Nurse, Larsson, Broberg, Bouchard, Bear, Jones which was interesting to me being Klefbom is only 26 signed for 3 more years after this.....

Don't mean this in a Richardish way, but I don't think you guys have the assets we'd need in such a deal.

You’re not being Richardish. You’re 100% correct.

Lucky for you holland is in charge now or someone would get klefbom for next to nothing I’m sure.

Line ups posted, Kahun is the scratch. Not sure if that's the way I would reward what was one of our better players last couple games.

Either way, our line up tonight looks pretty scary

Don’t know why but I haven’t been this excited to watch Malkin since his first game!

I get the feeling that we are going to see a man on a mission!

This is what I'm hoping. He looked that way to start the season.

Not a fast start for Geno’s line so far. It will get better eventually.

Maybe he thought Jake would follow up but that didn’t happen. Should’ve shot it.

They need to get Hornqvist off his line. Swap him and Rust.

Well Simon’s definitely not capable of playing against that line. Kind of funny watching him spaz out out there. Countdown to Hornqvist on the first Tanev on the second is on.

Outside of mcdavid, Draisaitl, and Nuge, they are basically a team of fourth liners so hopefully they can contain that top line then crush the others
