Yes, there is an NHL official spotter who deems that if a something happens during a game that warrants it, players have to go through concussion protocol. it takes 15 minutes of real time so if he's cleared by the spotter he'll be back in for the 2nd period.

I'd be okay with no call on Hughes if Palmieri gets just 5 for fight, which is how it should be. But giving the instigator and a 10 misconduct is ridiculous. What are we even supposed to do if somebody hits our guy and the refs don't catch it.
