how many kings games must one watch to make an adequate grit and speed analysis

Do u think he’s fast or adds the toughness we could use?
I don’t see it

I think he can score goals if he's insulated with some good players around him...players like MoJo. He's being scratched, so would probably be cheap to acquire. You think he's a bad target?

I’d prefer to aim for better
But if he comes for say the mid-round pick we potentially trade Scandella for,
then sure

Jeff Skinner was 5th in the NHL in individual expected goals the other day

Toffoli was 14th at that time.

He’d be a great get

For a guy who scored 30 once and 20 twice

Me personally I’d rather take a shot at Zucker or Toffoli then Connor Brown who is essentially a 3rd liner in my eyes.

Yeah, that would be the point. Nobody is going to give up anything of substance for a guy who isn't cracking the lineup in LA.

I dont see why LA would take him on but would crack their lineup sure. Just wouldn't make much sense for them

I meant Toffoli. He's been the healthy scratch recently.

Pretty sure he was scratched one game.

He's slow. Does nothing for our team speed.

I’d prefer Zucker over Toffoli but I’d take both over Sobotka in the top 6.

It's a big deal nonetheless. I can't imagine they get more than a 3rd for him at this point tbh.

And I'd wager he's just as fast as Sobotka (who he'd be replacing). At the price, even if he walks as a UFA it doesn't matter.

Not saying he's some enormous addition. Just like the idea of a guy who can score 20 on a good team that doesn't cost much. I can see him fitting well with MoJo and Skins.

Zucker has term left though so he’d be more expensive to acquire. On the other side though we risk losing (or overpaying to keep him past this year) Toffoli if we acquire him on the cheap

From Spector's page yesterday:

"Kevin Fiala could be on shaky ground with the Minnesota Wild. The 23-year-old winger has been a healthy scratch twice this season. His talent and favorable contract should make him a good fit with the Wild but they’re going to see what out there in the trade market.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Fiala had a 23-goal, 48-point performance in 2017-18. If he can’t find his footing with the aging Wild he could regain his form with a younger club.

A slow start by forward Andreas Athanasiou could raise questions about his future with the Detroit Red Wings. He’s in a contract year and his previous negotiations were difficult.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman won’t be as patient as his predecessor. If Athanasiou doesn’t improve soon he could hit the trade block."

I know a lot of people have mentioned AA, but Fiala seems like a new name on the list of possible trade candidates. Could be a good pick up for the right price. I know LW isn't a big need for the team, but I wouldn't be opposed to sending Vesey back in a deal.

Rodriguez for Toffoli? Large Hispanic population. ERod could have the #1 jersey sales if he went to LA.

Ask Toronto if toughness is important in the playoffs.

did they get pushed around or something? i'd rather ask them if having anyone who can play defense is important

is boston tough? arent they one of the 5 smallest teams in the league?

you need to watch the playoffs if you don't think the Boston Bruins play a tough and intimidating brand of hockey in the post season. No one player is consider especially tough...but they are a band of brothers and virtually no one backs down, and they all play with a bit of an edge.

No doubt the Sabres could use that attitude and skill set in a couple more players.

ya, I know 9-2-2

carolina won the same amount as boston, so they must be tough
