Dont put look into it too much. People have different ways of dealing with things. I know a lot of people who laugh at things that arent funny as a way to get through it. His actions on the ice tonight is what will matter.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

I wouldn't put much into the look either. Instead, I'd worry that just barely 10 games in, AV has had to call them out twice already.

There was Jake Voracek, sitting at his locker at the Skate Zone after the Flyers practiced Thursday afternoon, untying his left skate, and Vigneault stood in the center of the room with his back to him and demanded that Voracek and Claude Giroux deliver a higher caliber of play and leadership. Back-to-back lopsided losses to the Islanders and Penguins had compelled the coach to send his stars a message, and one of them was on hand to hear it. Voracek sat there and listened and laughed.

Exactly. Another teammate could have easily said a joke to Jake or he was chatting with someone else. Hell there's even the slight chance Jake didn't even hear AV if he was talking to others

EDIT: Charlie OConnor even tweeted saying he was in the room when AV spoke and he didnt think Jake was laughing

Rubtsov is actually going to have inferior wingers in the NHL than he had on the Phantoms.

Pitlick went from preseason pick for 3RW to being benched for a player the other 30 NHL GMs wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole in a hurry.

True, haha hard to fathom but they will have a different role on the fourth line. Not sure why we need the toughness and don't want 4 lines that can score but you know, old school hockey.

Yeahhhh Sielski is a rat, I've never even seen Jake smile other than an interview during the whole Prague thing.

Take whatever that dude writes with a large grain of salt (followed by a large shot of tequila)

It’s still clear that AV called them out in the locker room.

I like that

He also called our Couts and Hayes, and maybe one more. He said needs more from the leaders which included more than Jake and G

I am glad Jake laughed as AV called him and Giroux out

I wasn't there yesterday. But Voracek sits on the other side of the room from where the coach talks and you can't easily hear whatever dialogue is going on unless someone is shouting (and I do have the audio of AV from yesterday, and he was talking in a calm tone of voice). So I am very doubtful that Voracek was laughing at AV, much less doing so in front of the writers.

Yep. I love it. And I love that they showed his bluntness in that "road to the opening of the season" thingy.

What some writers will do to get a rise from the fan base. Not sure what the exact figure would be in terms of percentages, but clearly some of the media are just not in it for the content of their writing/journalism, but for the likes, tweets, re-tweets, impressions, etc. (and i mean only strictly, clearly in the end writers need a lot of people to read their stories).

That said, we're lucky to have ya Bill

remember the pinnacio v pronger. Pronger called him out after he didn't show for a month or something. whatever happened to him anyway...not that i miss him, thought he was a terrible writer who was always looking to cause drama/negativity

Agreed.

The core of this team at this point is Giroux, Jake and Coots.

Extreme ownership would mean that all three of them are responsible for the failure of the team over the past two games and the Calgary game.

I expect they will be the ones to turn it around also.

Mike Sielski is a piece of rotting garbage with a well known anti Flyers bias. I don’t take anything he scrawls seriously nor would I piss on him if he was on fire.

Hopefully the Flyers right the ship tonight in Jersey? The last 2 games were brutal. Too many no look behind the back passes and too many low percentage "hope" passes. A lot of the blame can be put on the forwards for that. They need to be in proper position to give the defense an easy pass out of our own zone. I know that Twarynski is a rookie, but I think he has more of a scoring touch than Raffl and should be on the 3rd line, not the 4th line.
