Apparently the reason the Leafs won't get Doughty is because it'll cost Marner+.

The problem with Petan is that he has another year on his contract, so it'll be hard to trade him, I would think.

It's not a lot of money but it's for a player that just ain't very good. So teams might not want to deal with that.

- GreatGigInTheSky

I'm not sure who is worse, Petan or Shore. Couple of Rickard Wallins out there

Unfortunately clip doesn't show the first several steps by Wilson, but more than 3 should be a charge and this was way more.

I would 100% agree with you.
Seems from the outside though that Dubas is really smuggish and that hits the wrong vein with babcock - therefore difficult to have any constructive communication and collaboration between both

- MaximusAurelius

Dubas must have slept with your sister or something. Your comments have no basis in fact. In fact, Babcock/Dubas have stated that this is not the case....

Petan has got more skill but it's not enough to replace the skilled players on the Leafs and he can't kill penalties like Shore can. Which is probably what the Leafs need more.

Both can go away, though.

I'd like to see Korskov get some time with the Leafs.

I get that Dubas may be trying to get some return for Petan, he "could" be claimed in waivers are attempted.

The farcical portion as pertains to Marincrap is quite simply ... "Mr Dubas... do you think anyone would actually claim Marincin on waivers"?

why?

- BorjeFan4Ever

I thought the Hockeybuzz nobility had determined that Marincin was a Babcock thing and not a Dubas thing?

I think both will be gone when Hyman is back. Hyman for Marincin, Shore and Petan.

Timashov and Spezza can take turns playing with Moore and the Goat.

for sure they need to play more team oriented. both ends of the ice.

again, what I'm getting at is ovechkin didn't change anything.

- Lucas.Neilson

Agree with most of your posts Lucas...but not your take on OV.

I have watched him during the whole 13 years. I think he HAS developed more effort of defense. Now, is he a selke candidate...nope. Not even close. But he will come back harder and doesn't float in the neutral zone nearly as much.

Actually, didn't the leafs take one of their late penalties on an OV backcheck late in the game the other night??? Not sure, but kinda remember him drawing a penalty late in that game.

Either way....I think he said nothing to "out" the Leasfs...actually babcock was in full agreement. OV just has a dozen years of experience to drawon...he was prodded by the media...and gave an honest answer. Good on him.

(And, I will still agree with 95% of your opinions Lucas....nice to disagree every now and then though!)

No, not really.

He's just slower and less reckless.

- BINGO!

Hes much more defensively aware now.
His defensive play has improved.

Babcock likes players who have 'big asses', don't worry about skating and scoring.

Someone give dubas the memo

- BestRapperAlive

Oh ok, right.

Because I find your constant jaded view of someone who you do not know, or have zero inside info childish?

But yearh, I am the 15yo. I wish, that would be great haha

You business insight is very poor, if thats what you truly believe.

He had elective surgery (undisclosed) so that he could make an extended visit to Robidas Island and avoid a cap hit. Should have just borrowed Hossa's jock strap or tried some back stretches with Zetterberg.

Yes that's true, but it's expected that after his mystery surgery is documented, he will file a grievance to collect all his pay, whether from the insurance company or Jets. Get out the popcorn. As the Jets turn.

Edit " High Ankle Sprain Surgery" He can borrow Eichel's Segway, but forget the jorts, no jorts for his body type.
