If the message did anything, it inspired the Leafs to play a more spirited game. It was a tossup that could have gone either way. Again it was little chintzy penaties that cost the Leafs the win in OT, the suspendable axe murders by Wilson were forgiven. - winsix

If it didn't happen at EVS how was Tavares a -5, Marner a -4 and Hyman a -3? |

Except the hit on Muzzin. Wilson only took 15 or 16 strides into that hit. And the 2 minute penalty for a knee hit on Barrie was BS. If that's not intent to injure nothing is. Just one time, when Wilson winds up with the 15 stride attempt to kill someone, it would be nice if he took a nice butt end in the gut. I'd do a jig. |

Who is mad?
OV was right, in his assessment.. This Leafs team is not that far off, the players just need to play for the logo on the front, not the names on the back |

For 2 games, then the Perfection Line poop all over them... - AdamFrench
Again ignoring the 4 empty netters and the dominant PP (which was my point).
Game 1 - nuttin'
Game 2 - Marchand with 1 ES
Game 3 - nuttin'
Game 4 - 2 goals
Game 5-7 - nuttin'
B's actually moved Pasta off the line (great move) because JT's line was shutting them down nicely. And don't get me wrong Bergeron was doing just fine shutting JT/MM down too.
Point is that line was great head to head. |

The internet is full of information. But I'll bite ....4 empty net goals. I bet those guys were on the ice for all of them. |

it was the Charlie Coyle line that got the better of the Tavares line..
They can handle top lines like the Bergeron line, and struggle against weaker competition |

Nylander is our Galchenyuk.
We believe there is more, we see flashes of more, we hope there is more and we are waiting for more, but there is no more.

Anyone who thinks Ovechkin hasnt changed his game throughout his career is uneducated.
Since the Ovi finished third-worst in the League at minus-35 in 2013-14, Ovechkin is plus-43.
Ovi used to be one dimensional and obviously more of an offensive player. He plays hard and works just as hard backchecking, blocking shots, and dishing out hits. That was not always the case in the past.
Say what you want about how long it took Ovi to win a cup but its a team game and the Caps unfortunately ran into a very elite Pittsburgh Penguins dynasty year after year. Hockey is a team sport. Ovi has always performed in the playoffs and anytime they lost it wasnt because a lack of his production. Those second round matchups were debatably the two best teams left in the playoffs. They just so happened to be playing each other in the second round as a result of sketchy playoff formatting.

I'm taking nothing away from ovi and his goals but he didn't change a damned thing about his game, what a load of crap! - Lucas.Neilson
He did get a little better at his all around game. Not much but he did.
Trotz told him you do want I want you to do defensively and you do what you want to do offensively. Seemed to work out fine.

nothing like the leafs running into boston who won the cup or capitals who won the cup
and ovi has always shot a lot and always hit, he's still in the same spot shift after shift and sits and waits for the big blaster. that's his game.
