Vesey could play there and I think he would quickly outproduce Vlad with the existing 2d linemates. ERod could play there even though he sucks: I don't think he could be worse than Sobotka.

I'd even consider putting Cozens there, he would outproduce Sobotka, but the better place for him and for the franchise long term is in junior developing.

But don't bother responding to these opinions because we have seen that it will only lead to 5 pages of horsepoop even though you agree with the fundamental premise.

Some of us are simply advocating for an upgrade ASAP to prevent waiting until they drop in the standings to make a move, especially when it's an obvious area of improvement. Why not be proactive?

He's shown extreme patience in most cases, especially last year when the season was going to poop. We're merely advocating for that not to happen again, and the best way is to take a clear position of weakness and improve it, with the depth at defense being a source of trade capital.

We'd rather not wait for the team to turn into a pumpkin again to see where the improvements need be made.

Or he doesn't think Sheary or Vesey can play the roll he wants on that line. We can keep on posting things back and forth, obviously no one knows what Krueger is thinking and what Botts has been offered in trades, if there has been any offers, but either way it hasn't been enough for him to pull the trigger. Do I like Sobotka on the 2nd line, no, I would love a more all-around player there, but there isn't, and it's working right now. I am 95% positive that Sobotka won't be there very long.
