Eichel is really having a great year. I'm hoping this can be an 85 - 90 point season for him.

85-90 is too low, 100+!!

Do it. There really is no room in this line up for the foreseeable future for Erod
- lulags

I don't see him as a core player for next year or the future, and if he is not playing now, I see no reason to keep him.

Botts has some mid round picks to recoop from trades. Would be good to get some draft picks for guys like Gilmour and Rodrigues so we can buy later.

I think that's probably unrealistic. He tends to start fast and slow down a bit in the second half.

is he really an upgrade over sobotka? he hasn't been very good in about 6 years
- SabresFaninIndiana

49 points in '17-18 and he fills the perceived need for size and faceoffs (49% career)

He hasn't been a fit in Pitt

Bjugstad would be interesting, but he really hasn't been healthy the last few years.

Sounds like the bills will be getting Haskins first start as a rookie

Nice article TSN WTF

https://www.tsn.ca/31-bol...the-stanley-cup-1.1375254

4. BUFFALO - Jason Botterill’s future as Sabres GM will be up for debate after Buffalo doesn’t come close to the playoffs for the third straight season on his watch. Maybe Botterill’s biggest win will be finding a way to keep perennial 40-point defenceman and minute-eater happy and on the Buffalo blueline.

I mean, it's not that crazy. Most people had the sabres missing the playoffs before the season. The article is dated Oct 2.

Elliot Friedman said teams are interested in E Rod. Mentioned the sens and leafs

I think if we wanted to cap dump e rod. That would be pretty easy.

All I know is they better not collapse to being bottom
5 (I don’t think we do)

But the trends are a tad worrisome

Bills need to put together a 60 minute game soon for me to take them seriously again.

We haven’t looked really good as a whole since the first half against Cincinnati

We should crush the skins ...... but the bills will grind out a normal win where we limp to the finish line

A few posters here seemed to have that feeling very strongly between between July 1 and October 5.

Yes let's make weed legal so we can screw up a kid's life in middle school and more kids across the map..

Sure it will help people but it will affect more people in the end destroying promise careers before they even had a chance

- gerbe75pts

Name one person that's saying that middle schoolers should use it. You know what legal drug destroys a metric (frank) ton of lives? Booze. Cigarettes too, but that usually comes later.

This just isn't the point.

He's playing a ton of minutes. He's on the ice when I'm trying to score. Neither of those things should ever happen.

Let's say instead of Sobotka I put Mittelstadt there, and shifted MoJo to wing (hypothetical). Mittelstadt has 7 points in way less ice time. Why is Sobotka, with his three points, getting played more than Casey? Casey is also an excellent plus minus and hasn't been scored on much.

As long as Sobotka is on the 2nd line, he is going to play second line minutes, and that is sub-optimal. Simply put NHL coaches don't do much. Optimizing a roster is about all the effect they can have. Knowing to play which guys more or less minutes, and in which situations, that's like half their job.

As long as Sobotka plays those situations and those minutes, I'm not as good as I could be with a better player there. Not just better offensively, but better straight up.

U mean like when the Pens won a couple Stanley Cups with Kessel on line3 and lesser players in the top6???

It’s about how the line functions as a unit
And so far,
Skinner-MoJo-Sobotka has been pretty effective

You don’t need to have your 6 most talented players on the top 2 lines

When their pace of 80 goals between them inevitably dips and you need a third guy on that line to start producing it won’t be Sobotka.

U keep saying how Sobotka is holding that line back, but he really isn’t
They’re doing well as a group

And sure, this pace is likely to drop
But it would be likely to drop no matter who was on that line with them
