Maybe JC will finally convert him to forward? - DarthKane
So he can be horrible on defense in that position also. |

Wonder if Boqvist is being brought up to help the PP, hopefully Gusto has a seat - BetweenTheDots
Why does it have to be a defenseman “quarterbacking” the PP?
How about a forward who can get a shot thru, with a true d-man with him on the blue line?
It needs someone who can do a Johnny Cash (Walk the Line) and get shots thru to at least the scrum in front of the net.
Nylander? Caggiula? |

First the Hawks announce Dach is here to stay, the next day they recall Boqvist. Will this mark the shift to their youth movement? - DarthKane
As well as letting everyone know that ice time is earned,if you don't perform someone is more than happy to take your ice time. |

I read on Twitter that the Blackhawks will be the first team to have both their 2018 and 2019 first round picks on their team this season. |

So the D will look like...
Keith - Boqvist
de Haan - Koekkoek
Maatta - Gilbert
- DarthKane
Keith and Boquist put together are shorter and lighter than Chara. |

For what/renumeration.
Short term perhaps a player coming back our way would help us I am against this player coming back to us as this means one more player to worry about loosing to expansion.
You only loose no more than one or two players to expansion. I have to believe that if a good young player is not protected in your initial pre draft protected player projection, then like each team you could have to pay a ransom to expansion insofar as they agree not to draft your guy.
Keith Toews I would gladly move on from after next season. Time to cut bait although they may be difficult to move given their contract (even with term not as big an issue as they will be near end of contract).
The real problem is having to.protect Seabrook.
Even should we be forced to protect him, the following is surely going through the planning channel of each GM: I am sure GM's around league would dream being able to make two for one deals.....hopefully getting the better player and net effect one less player to risk being drafted
Well at one time I was hopeful we could get a mid first for Gus. He would need to duplicate his stats from last season and be not any worse defensively. Don't see that happening this season.......if we could keep all our dmen healthy maybe Gus could post some good numbers ...
But not as it appears in Colliton's system..
We do not have correct personnel NOW and beside that it sure looks like some players are not happy with system
If we continue to be dominated by teams like Nashville, Stan should feel job pressure. I don't care how many great prospects we have.....you cannot continue to be manhandled and you need better compete effort. Calling up Entwhistle does not solve that problem. For whatever reason(s) Toews has a lot to do with team stinker effort vs Nashville
Go ahead and explain if I have some of this wrong. I am watching for anyone actually to dispell my analysis. |

I agree. Teachers should only have to work 20 years like police and fire. Having burnt-out 50+ year old teachers doesn't help the students at all. Teachers need to be young and full of energy to deal with that crap they go through on a daily basis.
But none of them should get pensions, pensions are completely unsustainable. In our small town $900k/year goes to fire departments pensions and they're so broke that they had to have a referendum to try to raise taxes to pay for another fire truck. But seemingly nobody ever looks and things, hey maybe if we didn't have this $900k bill every year we could do some of the things we need to do. - tazer_and_diet
Have you ever been to a firefighter or police officer killed in the line of duty funeral? If they are lucky enough to retire, a lot of them have health problems resulting from years of dealing with toxic situations ,Cancer, a lot of lingering effects, not to see the mental toll it takes on a person. Remember these guys aren’t robots they are also human beings. That’s all I want to say about it. |

Maybe I was unclear. I have complete respect for everything that police and firefighters do and the sacrifices that they make, but that doesn't mean that pensions are sustainable. The solution is to bump the pay significantly and give them 401k accounts like the rest of the country and then shuffle the pension accounts into a separate pool and have a specific tax that can only go toward paying pensions. |

I’m sure the powers to be will figure something out. Everybody’s entitled to their opinion. Let’s just say There is a mutual respect among everybody in the workforce no matter what they do. As I stated earlier no matter what ones calling is in life, I hope they all enjoy some form of retirement, stay healthy. And most importantly continue to be great hockey fans!

Move Seabrook by acquiring someone else’s bad contract but a serviceable contract. That would work. |

Ya, they would qualify. Although I doubt Seabs would go to Winnipeg or Ottawa. |
