i agree, but i want more Ups than downs. its good to see them get a point in a game when being out played i just don't want them to be outplayed.

We'll see. It's been so long since we were good that I cant remember what the bad stretches looked like. Hard to imagine the good teams getting pummeled 3 out of 4 nights tho.

Usually bad stretches = goals dry up, not team cant get out of their own zone.

We all want them to finally be good, and we are waiting for the other shoe to drop, but (and I'll be called out for my 'rose colored glasses' or 'bullsh!t positive outlook', but I really couldn't care less), I'm taking the Teddy Nolan approach and I'm parking the bus, er, I mean, I'm not getting too high or too low.

I have faith in Ralph and I think the players do, too, and I think they have really bought in.

They need a few more players on that team, especially one in the top 6.

1) EVERY TEAM goes through stretches of not very good play

2) points? They've gotten 20 of 26 points. What more could ANY OF US asked for at this stage?

3) they played 13 games in the month of October. No one has played more and only 5 teams have played as much.

I have no doubt that upgrades are needed, and I don't think he's complacent. He made a lot of improvements this summer that I think we can all agree on. More to come.

What game were you watching ? Aside from a shift here or there they could hardly even enter the offensive zone let alone generate quality scoring chances for the last half of the game. 1st period was very good.

Tage has 4G 4A in 9 games so far down there. The question is, how is he getting those points? I don't watch Rochester so I don't know. Is it just a matter that the game is slower down there and he has time to get his shot off? Or has he learned to use his size? Botts would get reports on all this.

We got absolutely dominated in the third period by a team (good team) that was on the last game of their road trip.

We’re regressing and it’s concerning.

The good thing is we’re 9-2-2 with Dahlin not being Dahlin, and we’ve gotten 0 5 on 5 contributions from certain guys who will inevitably produce

I always have thought that this is more of a thing later in the season as the grind is setting in. I don't think that playing on the road early in the season has quite the toll that we're lead to believe. And like someone else said, they had two days off. If it was a back to back that's one thing, but they didn't. They are a quiet good team, and took it to us a period. We've taken it to good teams for a period. There will be more periods where it just doesn't click. Minimizing these and bouncing back in a good way will be show if this team is real or not.

It's Corsi at 5v5 by period.
Just using this as a determining factor,
one would have to come to the conclusion that if Sam had a bad game, well so did Jack and Victor as their Corsi was nearly identical.
Actually, it shows those 3 had solid 1st and 2nd periods,
and the whole team had a horrible 3rd period, including them.

Our boy Risto had the worst performance of all, playing at a level equal to our Allstar 13th forward ERod, lol. It would be interesting to see which forwards he played with, it seems to suggest he played the 3rd with Jack's line and as a result they got dominated.
