Some of JC's comments for your perusal. Question now is how the team is going to respond to this kind of lashing. I suspect with some of the vets, not so well.

"We were cheating defensively and with the puck especially. We had a little adversity and didn’t love the way we reacted."

"We just wasted the whole second period and we did have a very strong push in the third period, and if anything it just proves the point of how bad we were earlier. Because as soon as we turned on the work ethic and we started playing a simpler game...we were very effective."

"when we turn it over, we expose ourselves badly and we were punished badly. So what was otherwise a fine start, we’re down 1-0. What was otherwise us finding a way back into the game in the third, the game’s out of reach. Until we clean it up, it’s going to be difficult to win."

"Up until tonight, I thought we'd been improving. We were on the right track. It's probably still the case but it just... (trailing off) I want our team to understand what we need to do to have success."

Mike Keenan ? Like to see how our "stars" would react to him.

That's a different era, you can't hard ass these guys any more, look how Babcock had to fly to Phoenix a couple years ago to console Matthews after he was a wee bit firm with him in the playoffs, having said that though, that's exactly what these guys need, iron Mike..

Agree 100%. His point isn't that line combinations are not important - his point is that the effort to play the right way is the important thing and if the effort is where it needs to be it will work regardless of line combinations.

I really think it is time to end the JC experiment. Please get a real NHL coach in here. The Flyers are an average NHL team with an experienced NHL coach and made the Hawks look like a Mite team.

PLEASE WAKE UP ROCKY. And while you are at it get rid of Shovel Face too.

I take that to mean JC doesn't have an idea of how line combinations work.

i would agree...this team far to often works only half the game or less...no team can go balz out all game...but they need to wake the hell up and be smart and competitive every game..

two weeks at home and they end it with a complete horsepoop on ice....how the (frank) can they be showing this type of complacency

I think it was more like Philly was caught sitting back on two goal leads in the 3rd. Then the HAWKS turning it up .Hope I am wrong and the coach is right .

His biggest oversight in this rant comes from overrating some of the personnel he has to work with, at least publicly. There is a lot of less than Grade A NHL talent on this squad.

Somebody in the media should ask him how Rick Tocchet manages to get as much as he does out of that Coyotes roster.

Colliton: "It's ultimately how bad you want to win. ... The players we have are good enough." Says if they play the right way, they'll make the playoffs.

not sure about that...they have played well in 3 or 4 other games only to lose in regulation or ot/so

- bogiedoc

He’s right. If the players just want to come in and collect a check, this is the result. If this is their attitude, they should ask for a trade and GTFO.

Just finished the game, wow, our so called core is killing us with lazy play.

Frustrating to watch. This team can look somewhat fun at times, and then completely swing to be cringe worthy seconds later.

At least on the plus side, our young players look sweet. Dach is getting better every game, he just needs to start shooting. Nylander except for the pp wif, but he busted his arse to get back following it. Kubalik.

Need to put adb and strome back together. Let the bromance continue. No reason to break them up.

We did have an experienced coach and they didn’t play for him either. It’s a locker room issue. One or more players are dragging the team down. Like I said, if they don’t like it here GTFO.

Rocky can’t even name 6 current players not named Toews, Kane,Kieth, Seabrook,Crawford.
He is not a hands on owner like his dad was. If it’s one time you would like to see him act like his dad, it will be very shortly if these guys keep losing. Because, Bill, would have Stan Bowman on notice and an extremely short leash by now.
2 years and no playoffs and now a piss poor start like this. You can’t fire the coach after a dozen games this year.
I’ve said it all along, and not too many people probably will agree with me on this blog site.
When Stan Bowman took over this team he had a lot of layers of armor put in place by Dale Tallon( yes, yes, I know what has he done in Florida yada yada yada!“)
If I recall Dale was hired by Bill. Enter the PR spin machine , And the first thing he does to ramp up his PR machine is bring in Scotty Bowman, not a bad move, but then part of the deal probably was my kid gets Dales job and I will come on board. I know it sounds crazy, but without going any further, I don’t think John and Rocky have a clue as to who to bring in to run the hockey operations department. It has to be someone that has management experience that also actually played the game in the national hockey league,There are plenty of qualified guys out there. But sooner than later they need to get what I call a “hockey guy “in there to clean house or right the ship ,Cut out his goddamn circus stuff. They start losing it will get old, fans will start to not show up no matter how many giveaways, autograph signings, bands in the atrium, etc. etc. etc. They have.
A bunch of you guys shot it down, I pitched Eddie Olczyk it’s a possible replacement for Stan Bowman. I would welcome other suggestions. But getting back to the original point. And I am redundant,You are right. Rocky better wake up soon! Or at least get to know his team and get involved.

Paging Captain Toews, Paging Captain Toews. Where is his leadership. Captains Couture, Stamkos, Asst. Capt. Matthews, have all called out their teams this year for not working hard. They didn’t wait for the coach to do it.

Jonathan needs a press box nite. The guy helped us win 3 cups, but right now he's either playing hurt or doesn't care that much anymore. In either event, riding the pine would be appropriate. Can't have one set of rules for certain guys, and no rules for the others.

Can a coach lose a locker room he never really had in the first place?

Lehner post-game interviews might end up being the best part of the season.

Also, Dach should stay with the club. He’s playing well for a kid his age, and I think the adversity benefits him.

It’s only been a couple games but I haven’t seen anything that tells me he’s overwhelmed.

Didn’t look at the stats to see where most of his starts were but I don’t have an issue with the approach so far of giving him mostly ozone starts to build confidence.
