I said after the 1st period this was going to be a 6-1 loss ... which it was except for 2 goals coming off the scoreboard because of about 9 inches of offsides.

I've said for several years now - if the Hawks passing isn't crisp and on the mark they have an almost zero chance to win. The Hawks have to out-execute their opponent because they can't out-quick them or out-muscle them. Period.

Today their execution was as bad as it's been through the first 8 games. Watch the Flyers tonight and when there's a contested puck on the boards - the Flyer player just bulls his way through the Hawks player and gets the puck. And if the puck isn't being contested on the boards the Flyer players beats the Hawks player to the puck.

If this season isn't going to slip away - Toews has to play like a #1 center like he did last season AND everyone else has to play a hard game which requires crisp and accurate passing. No more little one hand on the stick push the puck forward plays. Play like a man who gives a sh#t.
