Here we go folks:
Was looking at NHL scouting report for the Hawks game. Kane 3 goals, 5 assists for 8 points. TK has 4 goals, 6 assists for 10 points. Both played 7 games.....
TK has more goals and assists than the former Art Ross and Hart trophy winner.
That settles it:
TK IS A SNIPER.
Change my mind....LOL |

Does anybody know what explanation was given for sending Carsen Twarynski down
to Phantoms .In what I have seen ( not much 2 games ) he played well - goenzoy
He wasnt good enough on the NHL club. He and Bunnman were sent down in favor of Misha and Farabee. Despite the common uneducated opinion, it has nothing to do with Stewart. Stewart is a guy who will fir the 13th forward role. |

Stewart is playing ahead of Pitlick so he's actually the 12th forward. And if Stewart wasn't on the roster, they could have kept Twarynski and had this 4th line:
Twarysnki-Vorobyev-Raffl
There are 31 teams in this league and only the Flyers were desperate enough to sign a guy who spent last season playing in England. |

Pitlick was scratched once. There is nothing indicating that is going to be a regular occurrence |

Konecny has been a good offensive player since he entered the league but to this point he seems to be in a breakout season to a higher level. He is the offensive catalyst for this team right now along with Couturier.

Or they could waive Hagg and solve 2 problems at once.
- Shrike
Why would they do that!
That’s the narrative Haag gets caved in every shift and always chips the puck up the wall and turns it over.
IMO he’s been fine so far this season.
He’s a 6 slots dman I don’t know what people are expecting. |

* Vigneault praised the play of three of the team's four lines in the Vegas game. He noted that he liked the 200-foot game of the trio of Kevin Hayes centering Scott Laughton (who moved from center to left wing) and debuting rookie Joel Farabee. He also liked how the trio of rookie center Mikhail Vorobyev, left wing Michael Raffl (who had been centering the fourth line) and veteran Chris Stewart looked together against Vegas. |

Agreed, that should be the 4th line. In my view, I don't see either Pitlick or Stewart as a better player than Twarynski is. The only caveat is what is better for Twarynski? 4th line or a larger role in the AHL?

They sat Pitlick for Stewart in the last game. My question will be who sits when Patrick is ready. Misha, Laughton and Raffl would be a pretty good line.
It's also starting to look like a pretty deep line up. Guys in the AHL knocking on the door and running out of room. @ rookies in the line up so far. It's getting to be fun again. |

Hagg has looked solid. The only D that looked worthy of being scratched was Ghost in the last game. He just didn't look right. A guy like Ghost gets a pass but if that continues he'd be the first guy out for me. Although that would only be for a game as hopefully a reset for him.
Morin does need to play though and not just a one game trial. While nobody has really played their way way out of the lineup yet most other than Niskanen haven't been lights out either. You could easily throw Morin in for Hagg, Sanheim, or Ghost in a back to back situation. I'd rather him get some cosecutive games but at least get him in here and there. Conditioning with the Phantoms wouldn't hurt either if that's an option. I definitely wouldn't try to waive him. At least give him 5 games before that. |

ahl as he is only a 2nd year pro. Not like he killed it in the ahl last year. |

People are expecting that he not block other players who would have a hard time being worse than Robert Haag. |

If the Flyers would waive and demote Morin, they'd need a 7th defenseman to call up. If they don't feel Myers is ready, they could call up Prosser I guess. I'd put the odds at 80/20 that Morin would clear. |

clearly the coach prefers stewart over Twarynski at this point. Not sure why people cant see this, pitlick as well he prefers. If the coach really wanted him here I have to believe he would be in the top 12. |

My guess would be if Misha continues to play well. Someone will be dealt or waived and by someone I mean Pitlick or Stewart. |

I think a team like Ottawa would claim Morin. He makes minium wage, and they are playing DeMelo and Borowiecki 16 minutes a night.

Because Hagg is statistically and and to the eye test, one of the worst defenseman in the league. Thinking that no one can’t beat his extremely low bar without even trying is either naive or negligent. - Shrike

I think Hagg has been good this year. When he plays within himself he's a very strong 5-6 guy. I'm just not seeing the eye test the same way you are. Fancy stats aside I think Hagg is a keeper, or at least a decent piece in a trade scenario. - landros 2
I have no issue with Hagg, and I think both Morin and Myers will get their shots. Honestly, you can't have enough Dmen. The marathon season means you're going to need this depth. |

Yeah. It's a good problem to have really. You can ease rookies into the lineup over time. If the team really starts to get on a roll, we'll be debating 3rd D pairings on the Phantoms. haha |

Both Pitlick and Stewie are on one year, league minimum or close to it (Pitlick). They can be waived with little consequence. No huge loss if they get claimed. Cap issues are a bit concerning. (MJL). The team isn't looking to add another big contract. This is a big part of Fletch saying there would be a lot of movement between Philly and LHV. If someone is going to come up, someone has to go down. I think we are only carrying 22 on the current roster. I can't see anyone with a larger salary being moved at this point. |
