I find it hard to compare the great players from different eras. Sports evolve over time. We could argue about wood sticks vs composite, but look at athletes today compared to then. That’s why in my post that started this discussion I said arguable. But agree with Gretzky as the greatest. He was one of the hockey revolutions that happened.

No way. JVR is a good forward on the team and he has looked good. I have even seen him back checking. He has 35 shots on goal. He is going to blow like a teen going through puberty. If we need some breathing room the best options are to deal Pitlick or Hagg. A good chunk of Cap gets freed up at the end of the season

It's a good point that the team probably knew about the issues with Patrick when deciding to go after Hayes. I don't think anyone has mentioned that when whining about Hayes.
