why not play andersen B2B these last 2 nights ...is it really so hard?

start sparks 2.0 on friday and andersen saturday against habs....

- CarlitoBrigante

I always laugh at "oh goalies cant play back to back games" or "players are so tired on b2b".

Gimme a break. A good goalie can play b2b games, doesnt have to play all.
The players are suppose to be pros, everyone gets tired. But these guys train all summer and have been in hockey mode for over a month now.
Lets go.

It seems like it doesn't it?

After the CBJ game, he said that they need to stop taking dumb penalties, last night, Johnsson took two dumb penalties in a 2 minute span in the 1st period

Good guy NHL giving away advantages to worthy teams. Nothing to complain about. It's all good.
- Scabeh

They say we're moving up into the top2 again in the next draft. Takes a sh!tty season to get it, but I'm not complaining.

Maybe Leafs do something about it. How about forced fighting training as part of the program. Bring in a great, boxing, karate/coach and help them grow a pair. Don't want them fighting but need to play tougher. Hit a little sure, Pastrnak hits, he's no bigger than Willie, plays with confidence as a result. You knew the game was over when Pasta bonked Muzzin over the head with a strong two hander and smiled about it when he got away with it.

Exactly what I said would happen, is now happening..

I said the Leafs are going to play like poop because they all just got paid. Willy is poop and he’ll never be the player so many of you want him to be. I said if the Leafs lose 3 straight Babs will be fired. I don’t blame Babs at all, this is all on Dubas and Shanny.

Expecting different results with the same template (soft skilled) is insanity. Hockey has been played physical for 140 fücking years. But some dïckweed with square glasses comes along and decides he knows more than everyone else in the world about hockey. Colossal fück up from Shanny.

There was an interesting article a few years ago - I think maybe it was BIron?

Anyhoo, he said that he preference would be to play the back2back games, and then sit for the next one.

His reasoning was that there was a lot of mental fatigue that goes with being a goalie, and you need the mental break. So he would prefer to be "in the zone" for two days in a row, and then be off for a longer period of time.

Don't want fighting at all and I never personally was a fighter, but true winsix story, I used to get bullied at school. My dad paid for some self defence instructions and I got up the the brown belt level in Grade 10. I never attacked anyone, but the bullying stopped at some point - not sure why. My marks also improved dramatically.

[quote=Atomic Wedgie]Matthews pulled a Sparx last night:

“It’s just not good enough,” Auston Matthews said after Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. “We need to be better and I think it comes from the leadership group. I need to be better. All of us need to be better.

“I think we just need to look each other in the eye and hold each other accountable and put this game aside and take a couple steps forward and just be better for one another.”

Noice!

The exact same thing happened to my oldest son. After he started with taekwondo he just gave them the evil stare when someone tried to bully him. They got the point and moved on!
