Stecher has been solid in 4,5 and 6 spots over the past season. His stats from last year, even against top competition, are well above average. He's not the most physical or offensive guy but the bottom line is he's an effective defender. He and Benn have been a great pair, I have no idea why anyone would want to break that up especially when we all know Eddy and Tanev will miss time.

Ya I'm amazed by the hate between you, Maki and vantel. Pretty sure there was a lot of love for him in here last season, bit of a unsung hero. Crazy how this board works! I member when 90% (Yes, including you Vantel) would walk the plank for your precious Hutton even while I was pointing out his poop defensive ability. Stecher at least keep the puck out of the zone/scoring areas. I'll take it, if he can get better offensively that would be great but not a bad bottom pair guy that can play up at all IMO. Bit of a Tanev protege, dare I say.
