I am not sticking up for Biega I thought he would be on the Comets. I am just trying to bring Stecher back to what he really is.

I had the same one on everyone discussions in the summer when I said they should let Hutton walk and was met with "You can't let him walk for nothing."

There is absolutely nothing special about Stecher and if Benning does not have someone that could fill in for him in the system after 6 years then he does deserve to be fired.

We are talking about a tier 3 Dman not a 2 or 1

This team can't get to the net regularly. A lot of perimeter playing. Even more perimeter shooting. Entire team looks static. To much north-south. Need a bit more curl and find trailer or cross seam passes.

If the PK guy moves to block QH then he'll slide to open shooters in circles. Right now they are smothering them. So shot it is and Bo or JTM need to pick up rebound if not deflecting shot.

Stecher has been solid in 4,5 and 6 spots over the past season. His stats from last year, even against top competition, are well above average. He's not the most physical or offensive guy but the bottom line is he's an effective defender. He and Benn have been a great pair, I have no idea why anyone would want to break that up especially when we all know Eddy and Tanev will miss time.
