It's pretty well known Sbisa doesnt have the talent to play in the NHL anymore

I don't have that same feeling about the team. If others do, they are just gushing over that winning feeling.

What else is there to gush over?

Team is finding ways to win, instead of ways to lose. Stop being such a #whiner. #stanleycup

After two days I have come to the conclusion that I can't listen to the hype that everyone is putting on the 2020 draft already. I will most likely not look at prospects this season.

You're welcome.

Add: this draft is just not as good as everyone believes, the top 5 might be pretty good and a few solid D with size but past that, just not what anyone would hope from 10-30 picks. As always there will be sleepers.

Cheer's to having a solid scouting staff in Van.

- manvanfan

drafts are always over-hyped when the canucks potentially don't have a first round pick.

that may change if the canucks do though.

Minivan is many things, but a whiner he is not.

Meh, that argument might hold some water if he wasn’t producing equal to or less than: Sutter, Leivo, Pearson, JV, Ferland, Schaller, Motte 5v5 while leading all forwards in TOI. He literally has 0 goals, 1 assist in true 5v5 action. Sorry... That’s just a fact 🤷‍♂️. 1 goal at the moment a 5 on 3 PP expired, and 1 empty netter were credited as EV pts.

Can’t exclusively blame his wingers when they all have more legit 5v5 pts than he does in much less TOI. If all the whipping boys are finding ways to produce without the benefit of a PP1 opportunity, he needs to as well. As a 2C, he needs to be the catalyst for our secondary scoring and he hasn’t done that yet.

- DrChristianTroy

Excuses? I'm just stating the obvious.

It's simple really and it's not about blame. He's getting goals on the PP because he's deflecting shots and jumping on rebounds. You don't think he could accomplish that if he saw more of that from his wingers. Bo's 5 on 5 play is leaving much to be desired but I'm stating what would help.

At the 10:18 mark best angle to see it go off Wing's #17 sliding down and go in net.

Watching him it does seem as if he is off a bit, and if he puts it all together it will be staggering to think what his point totals will be.

I thought Miller had a lousy game last night, when he took that hooking penalty he just stopped trying.

Miller is chilling out.

Because his role is reduced to a specific task & he can rely on 4 of his most talented teammates to get him in a position to capitalize (control + pucks to the net). 3rd liners can excel when given specific tasks that suit their skillset. Where he’s struggling is where anyone with a brain knew he’d struggle... Making linemates better & producing in a top 6 role 5v5. Yeah yeah yeah “🛀 🧂” - whatever

Not going to lie, I haven’t watched even 22 seconds of live game yet this year, but I’m getting a 2011 buzz already.

I have a friend who put $10 on Canucks v Sabres in the final. It pays 800-1.

Nice bet, especially interesting since they came into the league together.

Thank you for saving me the trouble

Edit: isn’t the whole top 6 (outside of Miller) struggling 5v5? Chemistry issues for sure

I don't talk like that to you. Even when you pit Petey against Bo in your biased posts. I have room in my heart for both so I'll just roll my eyes instead.

About 54 seconds in, best angle to see where the deflection occurs

New blog is up, including some historical context for the Canucks' crazy comeback, more signs that the room is really coming together and Quinn Hughes regrets in Detroit.

I watched replays last night. I was mistaken but thought I'd play it out for fun.
