Common, his shine wore off a looooong time ago, and half the league is at the cap limit. He's a bottom-pairing guy at best. Left-handed. Demand is not high. - Tomahawk
Lots of teams using LTIR. I'm sure they won't want to complicate that situation by adding a project. Many other teams are already at the 23 man roster limit. There's a handful of teams that could claim him realistically. |

That's self defeating. Even if that is true, there are no guarantees. There is absolutely no chance of Morin developing and improving into an NHL regular sitting in the press box and just practicing. I assume they're just waiting for an injury to play him. If a significant injury happens to a defenseman, will they bypass him and go to Myers? - MJL
If they bypassed him and brought up Myers instead, then what's the point of him even being on the team. Talk about a blow to your ego. I get that they don't want to lose him for nothing, that would be terrible asset mgmt, but man.. So then two players need to be injured in order for him to get a game? I just don't see it happening. He could request out, and then you would have an even bigger problem. Then you would have to place him on waivers and lose him for nothing. |

yeah i don't see them making a trade to get morin in the lineup though. injuries i agree with. - Ftown19125
I wasn’t necessarily saying that would be the purpose of the trade. I still think it’s possible they trade a defenseman for a scoring forward at some point this season. A hockey trade. Lots of teams need d now.

Obviously right now the point of him being on the team is to be the 7th defenseman and sit in the press box. I stated long term. If a short term injury to a defenseman occurs, they'd probably play Morin. |

I don't see them trading Provorov or Sanhiem. So what defenseman would fetch a scoring forward? Gostisbehere? |

Gotcha, well I know we are just talking hypotheticals. Not sure what they will do until it actually happens. I just hope the Flyers don't trade or lose him until we know what we have. He could still develop into a decent player...one day.. Sigh... |

Where is team negative after this win - bulet13
.500 team through 7 games, inconsistent, lack of scoring etc. I think this team has been pretty much what rational fans expected.
Do you want them to drop confetti from the ceiling after beating the LVK vaulting them into 6th place in the Division?

Who is gonna take him? Hes played 8 nhl games and like 20 total pro games over the past 2 years |

No I want you and your proxies to stop acting like 7 games determines what this team is with new coaches, systems, and players. Most of the teams in our divisions if not all, have played more games so standings right now dont count for much. And this team has looked much better than last year, even in losses. The only bad game the skaters have really played was the Calgary game. Edmonton they dominated but a few mistakes and bad goaltending sunk them. Dallas, those types of games happen. If the team continues to play like this, the wins will come. All of this is also without their top line really clicking yet, and they will eventually. |

Really? Smith and Marcheassault were awesome. Their forecheck was smothering. If Elliott isn't standing on his head, it would have been a 7-6 game. - Tomahawk
that's like saying if Chris Stewart didn't get into a fight last game we would have lost this game |

You're right. 7 games is a small sample, and it certainly doesn't define what they will be this year. I completely agree.
After Farabee had a solid camp, did everything but finish but didn't make the team. First losing streak of the season and he's recalled and on the top PP. He should have been on the team to start. |

I beginning to agree with you.
I think the Flyers believe there will eventually be injuries. But if it goes too long they make chance it and send him down.

I read that Michael Raffl cape out and said he doesn’t want credit for the Provorov good. Pretty amazing guy. |

Low risk, giant defensemen who can skate wouldn't last 10 minutes on waivers. |

Very enjoyable game last night. Great to see Konecny and Lindblom continuing with their excellent season so far. Giroux needs to get rolling and will sooner than later. The best thing for me was seeing Hayes on the third line where he belongs. He had a great game and I think he will excel at 3C and the importance of 3C is huge. I think AV has it right now. Finally when will Gost realize it is a puck he is playing with and not a live grenade? He has to be the most scary dman at present, playing will almost zeroe confidence, hope he can regain it but not looking too promising. |

You seriously believe nobody would take a chance on Samuel Morin? I want to take a chance on Morin right now, today. |

I think we have enough quality forwards that will be solid going forward, Giroux, Voracek, Konecny, Lindblom, Couturier, Farabee has to be in the the top six as well. If Patrick gets healthy he has a crack down the road. However if Gostisbehere and say JVR together could score a proven top six sniper I would consider it. I think Provorov needs to be groomed for the #1 pp unit to go with his 20 plus minute games, similar to Morgan Rielly in Toronto. |

Anybody pick up Jarred Tinordi on waivers? He's just as big, just as mobile, and has more NHL/pro experience. Former 1st-round pick to boot. |

What % do you envision Morin being claimed if he's waived? |
